  1. sorry, this really sucks!! it just can't be stopped.
  2. ha ha -- exactly!! f*** this. World class bunt and we are still down 2-1
  3. I don't know what Tulo's was. Bo got an injury that f***ed up the blood supplyl and the hip then degenerated over a period of months.
  4. I've always wondered why this is so hard... aren't there former players out there who know.... 1. Young players can play too. 2. On base percentage is important. 3. Defense is important but the eye test doesn't work all the time. and... 4. the stats show that pitchers are bad 3rd time through the lineup, and may also get injured if they pitch too many innings. Starters - 180-195 innings, 5-6 innings appearances Relievers - 50 appearances 80-90 innings?
  5. The state controlled media has only revealed that it is a hip injury... to what extent I do not know. Hopefully not as bad as Bo Jackson's... Bo could homer after hip replacement but not much else...
  6. Master-- the implosion is going well... we cannot have the Canadian team rise again, 3 million fans could lead to increased pay roll, it cannot happen. Apprentice - On fan appreciation day the end will come, they will not recover from this. They have even started an implosion thread on their message board. The fans are demoralized and soon will be destroyed. Master - On fan appreciation day our victory will be complete... but what is this an "explosion thread"??? The fans appear to still have some spirit.... Apprentice - Something to keep an eye on... nothing more.
  7. Will it be MVP Josh?? Or "bad hip" hits like Ryan Goins, Josh?
  8. Thanks Praxis, that helped calm me a bit. Where is JSFIP?? His return coincided with victory. And then he is silent and we return to implosion. I am a bit scared that "New York*" know he is a calming influence so silenced him somehow.
  9. Right now in Seattle, a shadowy figure approaches Adam Lind... Shadowy Figure - How would you like an opportunity to finally get revenge on John Gibbons Lind - I'd love it, that hick sent me down to the minors a couple of times, and platooned me. Shadowy Figure - Every one platoons you, you can't hit lefties. Lind - I might of learned if that dumb hick let me face them when I was young. Shadowy Figure - shut up! Just look for the man in white when Toronto comes to town. That's right the man in white. He works for us now.
  10. JSFIP... what is up?? You lookin' in?? It would be great to hear from you even if it is just a few words.... I am trying to keep calm but it is hard. I live in New York and watch the YES network. They are preparing for the fan appreciation day massacre. "The Yankees win, The Yankees!!!!!! The baby bombers have swept Toronto for the second time this month!!!!" How can we stop them?? How can we keep calm??
  11. There are 7 straight games with Seattle (2.5 back) and NY (2 back) coming up.... The end point could really be fan apprecation day, there is some irony there. We love you fans, we appreciate you fans, without you we couldn't do it... Now watch and eat popcorn as your Tonronto Blue Jays get eliminated against the exciting Baby Bomberssss!!!!!!! Yes guys - This place is realy dead... really dead. Yes guy 2 - did you know tickets were going on stubhup for under price?? I mean they still have a bit of a shot!, not great but only 3 back for the second wild card.
  12. This is 'explosion' thread. If we all just kept on topic and in the spirit of the threads this place would be much better. Implosion thread - a place to assume the worse and discuss the Blue Jays unstoppable collapse Explosion thread - a place to focus positive energy to help the team to victory. What is so hard about this??
  13. September 13th update 3-8 in September Imploder of the day: Marcus Stroman Anticipated implosion completion: Sunday September 25th fan appreciation day (against baby bombers)
  14. Yes indeed. the goal is to be 4 back of the wild card by fan appreciation day. This is ambitious but it can be done if the yanks get hot and sweep the fan appreciation series. Go baby bombers... Show the old, feeble imploding blue jays who's boss!!!!
  15. The ball travelled apr. 395 feet... which would of been enough for a homer if it had been pulled at all. So my understanding is it was just a 395 foot fly ball hit to the wrong spot... Or should of it travelled 415 feet?? and god stopped if just cuz God actually listens when Osuna prays.
  16. Dear Loyal Fans Yesterday, an unexplainable event occurred. Implosion was proceeding as expected when a hard hit Stephen Souza fly ball died unexplainably at the warning track. Our engineers are looking into this situation as we speak. The exit velocity and angle should of been sufficient for a homerun and kept the implosion on track. We've worked hard to bring you an implosion and we hope that this small, unforeseen event does not delay it. We are still hoping to complete the implosion by fan appreciation day against the New York Yankees if at all possible. Thank you for your patience
  17. well JSFIP, your return to posting coincided with a Victory last night. Cheers my friend, hope there is more to come.
  18. Are you kidding or is the data that convincing?? Independent of pitch count?? Just curious.
  19. s***.. I didn't realize this happened. Is it just because it's a weekday?? Or has the slump really effected prices?? Like if the Jays were 2 up would this of happend?
  20. At the end of the Yankees last down cycle (1992) they were down to 1.7 million attendance -- even this mini down cycle, which they are still getting and contending for wild cards has resulted in lower attendance and easy availability of tickets. Between Boston, NY, and Toronto, NY tickets are like 20 bucks, Toronto and Boston 100 for similiar seats.
  21. Maybe they should get a temporary manager who is good at small-ball. Just for those games.
  22. In all seriousness... it's not like 5 years of winning will guarentee a perpetual good cycle. And it's not like another bad cycle will do lasting damage. If this winning cycle ends the casuals will leave, but will be back next winning cycle.
  23. Interesting point... Implosion could eliminate the casuals, however once we rebuild they will be back in 2027... dumber than ever because they would not have had the chance to learn. So in your view, we must do everything possible to stop Implosion, for the sake of preventing the casuals from leaving, then coming back even dumber in 2027.
  24. I think people are really starting to see the huge positives in implosion, here are just 3 1. Gibbons and coaches FIRED! 2. Casuals gone. Stubub prices go down 75%. 3. Draft pick number 20 instead of 26 (could make a big difference if Shapiro/Atkins spot the next Trout/Seager and can grab him before smart orgs like Sox/Dodgers get on the board).
  25. JSFIP it is great to hear from you. We have so much to be positive about. Remember that "FireAlexAnthopoulusGuy" ?? Well he got his wish... pretty much. Shapiro was going to fire AA... then for PR reasons (after division title), offerred to neuter him instead. Whatever, AA is gone. We all got so many of our dreams to come true... 1. AA is gone 2. Reyes is gone 3. Dickey is being skipped. 4. Goins is a bench player. What else is there?? Just a march to the playoffs and then world series.
