  1. You don't understand the mind of John Gibbons Starter keeps going until 110 pitches Benoit - 7th (assuming starter hit 110) Grilli - 8th Osuna - 9th Cecil - maybe faces a lefty if something really goes wrong Biaginni - maybe a righty if something really goes wrong
  2. I sort of watched both... surreal s*** show... Clinton and Trump barking, YES network guys going nuts... depressing... kind of needed the Jays win to leave reaility last night. Clinton, Trump, future leader of free world.
  3. I really hate how Cecil has been used. He has an awesome 4 year record save a couple of bad stretches. No reason he could not of pitched to multiple batters. In fact I would of liked to see him come in to start the 8th.
  4. Some Canadians like yourself are passive aggressive ego-maniacs who express their superiority slyly and soft spokenly. American - "YYYahhhoooo. U.S.A. U.S.A. U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Canadian - "It's one of the few qualities I admire about Americans" Slyly implying you are superior, and Americans have hardly any good qualities. GRANT for gods sake you are a despicable, lowly, human being. An American may cheer themselves but they would never insult a Canadian like that. You think you are superior, you do it with a smug smile, you are 500 times worse than the typical American. A racist practically.
  5. Anyway will you be enjoying the Daniel Norris start today?? As our former prospect attempts to screw us one year later?? I don't mean to be a miserable prick. I am just pointing out the irony here. After all the ******** you hear about how you need vets, and an ace and f***ing whatever else The tigers are doing it with an old former ace with a bit of fumes left and a young staff (Fulmer, Norris, Boyd) acquired just a year ago..
  6. I am truly dissapointed in the direction of the organization since 2012, I grew up watching Jays teams that were much more like this years Sox or Astros, awesome young position players. It would be an ironic kick in the balls if the Tigers beat us out, using young players we traded to them just last year. Just saying... sorry if I insulted you.
  7. Didn't we allready get beat by Boyd?? Do you want to face Fulmer instead?? Even Norris is pitching well. At this point is there really that much difference between any of Estrada, Happ, Sanchez, Fulmer, Verlander, and even Norris?? Other than the Irony if Norris and/or Boyd somehow screwed us?? The wild card game is a coin flip, and there are still coin flips to get to the coin flip Boston Red Sox: We will build around youth, Bib Papi has served us well and deserves to go out on top, the only way to do that is to surround him with good young players. AA and the Beast: f*** the young players, I hate them, youth must die, trade em all for a bat flip and a coin toss!
  8. Yes I remember watching the awful Tanaka and Kuechel. The Yankees had no chance at all.. because of this event. The awful Tanaka gave up 2 runs... it was so bad... unbelievable, what a mismatch. c'mon.. that is f***ing ridiculous... it didn't matter that much, anything can happen in one game. Tanaka could of easily of won as well.
  9. I hope you are right. The logical side of me says "it's a coin flip", actually the logical side says check fangraphs... 75% actually The illogical side says we are in the midst of a long national nightmare.. implosion 2016. The only rule of implosion is that things will be worse at the end of every series. 1. Most of time during implosion you will lose series... make things worse automatically 2. In the rare cases of winning a series 2 or more rivals will sweep their series. Those are the only two rules of implosion... apply 3 more times and it is over.
  10. Dear Fans We would like to Address rumours that "implosion" is over and was a failure". Implosions are not entirely predictable but we believe the implosion will be successful and ultimately you will look back at Fan Appreciation day as the pivotal moment that everyone realized "holy f*** we imploded". With several teams chasing the Jays some of them are bound to win. On fan appreciation day come watch the elderly jays take on Gary Sanchez and the baby bombers... on this day we see the Jays losing their grip on a playoff spot. Then come watch the final series of the year as Buck Sholwater and the Baltimore Orioles make it official... Implosion... slow and painful...
  11. Sorry about all the negativity btw... I am sure it annoys you... despite my bad attitude and lack of faith I do want the Jays to win (unlike some idiot who posted even winning the wild card game wasn't worth it, because Jays would be swept by Texas)... I will be following Tigers and twins today... hope twinkies do us a favour. And I guess at this point have to sort of go for Sox.... I guess.
  12. I know some (like Spanky) hate the negativity but there are so many "f*** you Jays" scenarios that involve teams with young players kicking the f*** out of the old, sad, Blue Jays Night mare scenarios 1. Detroit Boyd, Norris - f***y you Jays for trading us, you got a bat flip, but you won't get another, we're headed to the playoffs, you're sitting around figuring out whether to qualify the .225 hitting bat flipper. 2. Baby Bombers - f*** you jays, baby bombers are young and getting better. Sanchez is the next Piazza. Next year two teams in the East will have 100 wins and it won't be you. Baby bomber sweep, happy f***ing fan appreciation day. 3. Astros (ethical organization) - We have Correa, Springer, and Altuve, average age 24... total control 10+ years, you have Bautista, EE, and Donaldson, average age 33, total control 2 years (Donaldson only). I hate the fact the Jays are so old, there are so many teams with awesome young cores, Red Sox, Astros, maybe Yankees soon... I'm not negative because I'm an awful son of a bitch... I'm negative because there are so many awesome young cores, that I see this as the Jays swan song.... kind of sucks when it looks like there is a chance of a young team beating us out. YOUNG TEAM - f*** YOU *******S, YOU ARE OLD, I FEEL SORRY FOR YOUR FANS, BUT f*** THEM, THE YOUNG INHERIT THE EARTH.... bye bye bat-flip, EE Tulo, Martin old f***ing loser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. It doesn't end in the 12th... it could end in the 13th, 14th, 15th or 16th The game doesn't get to that point if someone can hit a godamn fly ball with a runner on third. Each event is as important as another. If we get just one hit, just f***ing one, with a guy in scoring position the game doesn't get to that point and we win in 9 or 10 or 11. If EE homers in the 1st the game doesn't get to that point. If Sanchez doesn't have a shaky 2nd or whatever the game doesn't get to that point.
  14. That logic is idiocy. Errors don't cost games by themselves and are no more important than any other event that leads to a base runner. Grant assumes that if the error didn't happen everything else would go super-perfect and we'd have 4 wins. The errors themselves are like half a win or something if that.
  15. Do you think the Jays are in the middle of an implosion, or an explosion?? Or are you going to wait and see if we win tonight before answering that question?
  16. Who do you think are the Jays top 104 prospects??
  17. Speaking of Stoeten I just looked him up... I used to love 'DrunkJaysFans' it was great... but after Stoeten went to the score it fell apart. He is at 'Blue Jays Nation', is that his own place, or did he latch on to something else? Seemed Stoeten cared more about impressing his bosses, then showing any empathy for his audience. I believe he called 'insufferable sour pusses' I think that was the end for him... kind of like the 47% comment was the end for Romney, and if Clinton loses the 'Deplorables" comment will be a part of it. Why diss your audience? What is the point? Good writers are like good salesman, they make the audience feel good about them selves. f all he had to say was 'I understand the frustration. I understand the concern. I understand the panic. It may work out, it may not, but if it works out here is the road to success.' If Stoeten had shown any empathy for his audience he would of been a success, appears now he has like 10 comments on his game threads."
  18. Moogy, what a guy... one of a kind. I always thought it was Stoeten trolling the board. Moogy had a knack for producing pages and pages, of mean spirited bull s*** that was grammatically perfect, so I have to think he had a writing background. Lawyer might fit too... he could type fast, grammar was good, content full of s***... Writer or Lawyer I guess.
  19. Line ups?? Travis - at least he's under 30 Donaldson - torn labrum?? EE - actually not as good as before Bautista - hits like .220 now Martin - generic right handed slow guy who can pop a homer once a home stand Tulo - same Carrera -- Saunders sucks I guess Upton - that guy who hit .140 for Braves Pillar - ok .260 17 walks not a great hitter Anyone wonder why we don't score runs Seattle Japanese guy like ben revere Some other guy Cano Cruz Seager's big brother who can play too Lind!! More guys Pitching half an Estrada Against young guy who throws hard
  20. Nobody dissed Pat Gillick... Pat Gillick built an awesome team... Pat Gillick got pissed and left on bad terms. Beeston was a two bit accountant who wasn't qualified to be a two bit accountant, he was hired as president in 1989 and within 5 years had the team in a 20 year distaster.
  21. But in terms of the effect on the lineup there is little difference between Travis and "Revere 2015" What is the difference?? You'd have to look closely at every position. However I bet it is simply this A lot positions are 10-15% worse Even 3rd base is worse because Donaldson had DH'd a bit and Goins/Barney have games at third Catcher is worse because Martin is worse, and Thole is worse than Navarro 2nd is worse because Travis a tad worse (but healthier) and Goins is crazy worse 1b/DH is worse because EE is a bit worse, and Smoak is worse, and Colabello was horrible for 30 at bats and then his at bats were given to bad Bautista who is DHing more and Upton. What else?? Center is worse becasue Pillar is a bit worse. 1. Normal regression 2. Normal aging 3. Fluky part time players (Colabello/Goins/Valancia) gone or replaced by s*** or turned to s***.
  22. If they got 88 they'd still have a decent chance of getting a wild card ... If Implosion continues the final number will be a little less than that. Not much time left.
  23. ??? We are 3rd oldest batter, 2nd oldest pitcher... We are old. The core of offense is 5 slow right handed sluggers with an average age of 33.... Bill James would say that's not an offense, that's a recipe for 150 double plays
  24. It's Nauseating listening to them... Pat - "I'd send the runner... You gotta get something going" Buck - "No question... They can't sit back and just wait for the 3 run homer" (runner get;s caught stealing) You can f***ing sit back and wait for the 3 run homer.. it works. If it doesn't math doesn't work.
  25. It doesn't look that bad. All three have xFIP above 4... All things being said looks like a pretty even matchup(s). To quote Donald J. Trump "Knock the hell out of them"
