  1. I agree.. but is this minor league lefty really going more than once through the order?
  2. I thought they should start Sanchez as DH and pinch hit first time I up, until I realized there is a rule against that. Good question. I don't know. On one hand save Upton for Miller. On the other hand maybe Upton has a better shot against the inexperienced lefty. On the other hand the inexperienced lefty may not even be in the game in the 2nd or 3rd.
  3. btw where is Todd?? I guess playoffs isn't really his thing. He is probably watching Arizona fall league.
  4. You contribute some decent thoughts and longer sentences once and a while. So I can accept this from you. Yo Bro.
  5. For you - YO BRO. GO JAYS. WIN FOR THE YO-BROS!!! s***... still long... just can't do it. I was born 10 years to late, and I can digest more than mini-texts on a smart phone.
  6. You are probably a "yo-bro". A greedy child of the smart phone age... who cannot digest any thing longer than a part-sentence... as you stare in idiocy at your smart phone "yo bro go jays" That is about your level. It takes only 30 seconds to write a paragraph... not long winded at all. Have you ever heard of a book?? Todayn is a day we should be joining together and appreciating each other.... not critisizing for writing more than YO BRO.
  7. No wonder our society is falling apart. What is your issue?? Have you ever watched a f***ing baseball game on TV?? Or any sporting event?? They often cut back to shots of the away city where crazy fans are cheering. They even did it for the Raptors many times in the playoffs. It is part of the joy of the post season. Seeing the home fans cheering for the team on the road... If we saw this it would mean a) Jays won tody they are in Cleveland doing something good. I am sorry our society is collapsing and we no longer find joy... I don't understand people like you. Watching the Jays have a big moment on the road and see TBS cut back to Toronto would be awesome.
  8. On TBS during Monday and Tuesday's broadcast they cut away occasionally to a bar or a restaurant, a chain I think, so typical of early 21st century America. Where the Cleveland fans cheer when something good happens for Cleveland. The goal, the only goal is to see our fans, in our restaurant or bar, be it a chain or something better. See them on TBS.... see them cheering for something good that happens in Cleveland. To see our people, some of you maybe, on TBS... cheering for something good that happens in Clevelend. Nothing would make me prouder... to see this we need to win today.
  9. Yesterday the impossible became improbable Today the improbable can become just another series Just another series that someone had to lead 3-2 anyway.... God willing we will be in Cleveland Friday.
  10. I agree. It's incredible. Especially considering his numbers until age 22 or 23 were like Ken Griffey Jrs. If this trend continues he will end up where Michael Jordan was at 31.... http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/team.cgi?id=dfd224a8
  11. Every journey has a first step... We are exactly where we were last year Estrada on the mound... Win tomorrow... and we basically match last year. We can do this. It's still about survival. Enjoy the night, the fight begins anew tomorrow.
  12. No matter what happens we end up in the same spot... with the same four possibilities 1. Swift kick in the nuts - it ends in hours. 2. Long ball squeeze - it ends in ~30 hours. Same as 1., depressing last game at home, but just longer. 3. That was kind of OK - it ends in Cleveland on the weekend, given everything it feels like a win, cuz we end at the exact same point as last year. 4. WTF There is a game tonight?? - There is a game Tuesday
  13. No matter what happens we end up in the same spot... with the same four possibilities 1. Swift kick in the nuts - it ends in hours. 2. Long ball squeeze - it ends in ~30 hours. 14. That formula is messed up -- not really right chances of winning 4 in a row 1/16 who cares cahnces of winning 1 in a row 1/2 -- let's win one
  15. There is a very simple (sort of accurate) way to measure the odds. start at 50% - every time they lose odds=previous odds - previous odds/2 every time they win odds= previous odds + previous odds/2 So it went 50, 25, 12.5, 6.75 Let's go back to 12.5 -- that's all 1/8 instead of 1/16... not asking for the world here.
  16. I hate watching other baseball games when the Jays lose... so I'll have trouble watching a 1-1 series with Dodgers fans full of hope if Jays are eliminated. So for gods sakes Jays... just win one, just one... just survive.
  17. Whatever you can do, whatever lucky charms you have, whatever you believe in do it. There is a butterfly effect if you cough left instead of right, especially if your near the dome the air currents will be slightly different... a neuron in Troy Tulowitzki head, will fire in a sligthly different Quantum pattern and he react slightly faster and pull a homerun into the bullpen instaead of popping it up. Do what you have to Just got to survive...
  18. Maybe it will end tomorrow... but God Willing we will be back tomorrow... God willing we will be back tomorrow... Over or not, all hands on deck... lets be back here tomorrow.
  19. It is the only thing that can save us at this point. A normal win or two will just delay things. Explosion is our only hope.
  20. This is so common Joe Morgan walked 120 times a year hit for crazy power and Mike Trout like WAR -- Joe Morgan thinks he was good cuz he did the little things right and was clutch Harold Reynolds was a nice little player, decent walk rate, 80 walks one year... 2-4 WAR a year.
  21. Thanks Joey Bats, and EE for the memories you provided some good ones, and tried your very best as mid 30s guys with slowing bat speed. You have two days left... I don't blame you if you just go out with a wimper... you've done so much and must be so tired. If you decide to take every horse amphetaimine known to man, to speed up your aging bats, that will be interesting too, and maybe you'll make it back to Cleveland for the weekend. Otherwise... congratus Indians... the young inherit the earth,
  22. Since everyone seems so depressed I will add in a little extra to make you feel better.. 30%. It's gotta be 1/3. That's not bad at all.
  23. It's about 20%... give or take. A little less coin flip model - 15.625 add in some extra cuz Jays have better pitching matchups - 18.00 % add in some extra cuz we got 3 home games - 20% add in some extra cus Spanky is such an optimistic guy - 25% 1/4.. not bad right/??
