  1. Also I'm loving the run differential for this team right now. Maybe they can pull a 2012 Orioles and the regulars will rag the team the whole season on getting lucky.
  2. So far after 6 games this team lives or dies on the starting pitching. 3 starts with no runs given up, 3 wins. 3 starts with brutal pitching, 3 losses. Offense has been consistently mediocre in all 6 games. I don't think anyone would have guessed that in the first week. The Jays overdue for a nice 10-8 win (or loss).
  3. I like Cecil's knuckle curve
  4. Love this. Team SP ERA with Navarro catching is like 0.0000000. Hurray for small sample size! But seriously it's like night and day. Probably the best game Buehlre has pitched as a Jay. I was not that excited about the Navarro signing but I must admit if these 2 games are any indication of things, the catcher spot is a massive improvement not just a slight improvement through addition by subtraction.
  5. Hey with any luck one of those two will injure themselves in their first start, be placed on the DL and the problem will solve itself! :) :) I'm wondering if AA likes injured players so he can hoard a bunch of s***** players on the 25 and 40-man rosters as reclamation projects...he salivates at the thought of having at least 5 players on the DL ay any given time.
  6. This is why people don't like you. Entitlement generation? Way to paint people with a generic negative brush. I know several perfectly capable hard-working people just a couple years younger than me in their late 20's who can't find a decent job and have no chance of home ownership anytime soon. You might say, "yeah so, they have to earn it, or work their way up" or something along those lines. Which is fair, I wouldn't disagree with that. But to paint with the same generic negative brush, the entitlement generation has already come and gone. They're the Baby Boomers....you know...the people who require home ownership, multiple car ownership, cottage ownership, unlimited free health care and who racked up so much debt that they can't leave their high paying middle-management jobs (union blue collar work included - every time there's some moron yapping about a strike it's usually centered around 50+ year old high school educated people who expect "job security" for their $80K+ driving forklifts or taking TTC tickets or whatever) and let the younger generation take over. Oh and in this mess have managed to continue the f***ing up of our environment, learned by their parents. Entitlement generation...jeez....
  7. Great AB even though a K, lots of pitches that inning...at least Price is very unlikely to go more than 7 IP now.
  8. WOOHOOO!!! No no-hitter today Was actually kind of worried about that after the first two innings.
  9. PTSD can take a long time to recover from
  10. There's this reality porno floating around of these two chicks licking each other's boxes in various locations throughout Olympic Stadium. Great scenes.
  11. Depends on how explicit they intend on making the molestation scene. s*** could be getting real just like "A Serbian Film"
  12. He needs whatever the opposite thing is to "Just For Men". Gotta get 38 year old going on 50 greying beard look down.
  13. There's a big difference between thinking someone is not appropriate for a given role and hating the guy and wish he would go away.
  14. It's threads like this that give the "hive mind" lunatic rants about this board some credibility. Nobody but the most brainless of bandwagon jumpers who can't think for themselves would say that they hated JPA for the past two years - not until the final few months of the year when his s***** play and personality just became so intolerable. Up until then I think the majority of us hoped he would do well. And even in April 2013 we could have said he was tolerable with the strengths offsetting the weaknesses. 30 HR, .280 OBP and adequate defense and game calling with the occasional bravado on Twitter would have been acceptable. He could not comply with any of that and showed no willingness to improve, no admission of mistake or weakness AND mouthed off about how great he is. This is a rare combination which could illicit true hate. FWIW, the guys who have the least likable personalities are probably the guys who are going to perform well - Bautista, Lawrie, Buelrhe - so they aren't going to get too much hate. Lind and Navarro might get some hate for laziness issues.
  15. Maybe Happ has PTSD from getting beaned in the noggin. That would be a good excuse to keep him out a while.
  16. Players would rather injure themselves than have to deal with him in the locker room and on the field
  17. Don't forget Godfrey and JPR. Not everything that has went wrong in the past 20 years can be blamed on 2 men. Gord Ash showed some promise but then really screwed it up towards the end of his reign of mediocrity
  18. Breaking news: Chris Woodward comes out of retirement to join the Jays for a 4th time.
  19. If that doggy character hunts down everyone who originated from the MLB board, ties them up and takes away their computers, it might happen.
  20. Good answer, except that your name is too close to whackoff93 for me to take you seriously.
  21. Boldest prediction in this thread: People on this board will stop talking about JP Arencibia.
  22. Hmmm...like April 20th? lol
