    Kirk a hit and a walk in his first 2 plate appearances tonight. Is he eligible to come off the 60 tomorrow? I hope they don't keep him at AAA and bring Jansen up. Bring Kirk up.

    The Angels aren't making the playoffs this year. They have 2 years of control left with Ohtani after this. They are a club that spends to the luxury tax, but have only been over once and it was just a few hundred K over. In Ohtani's free agent year they have a 32 year old Mike trout making 37, a 34 year old Rendon making 38.5(3 years to go on that contract) and Fletcher making 6 mil. That's 81 mil for 3 players. If they sign Ohtani for 40 they have 121 mil, plus arb players and they still have to find a way to build a pitching staff. Ohtani is being wasted on the Angels. They should trade him while they can and do a much needed rebuild around trout and their other young players. They will not trade him and gamble on the next 2 years, but I don't necessarily see them as the favorites to sign Ohtani when he's a free agent in 2.5 years.

    I don't care whether he's innocent or guilty. The fact is he's a moron. Engaging in this type of encounter with a casual fling is stupid. I hear all the time how people claim Bauer is such an intelligent guy. The fact that he's now just realizing he's part of a get rich quick scam if he is innocent. It doesn't take Inspector Clouseau to figure out this mystery.

    Royals blew another lead. Even in the 8th with runners on the corners and 2 out Ottavino left an 82 mph slider over the heart of the plate and Soler grounded to 3rd instead of banging it otu of the park.

    Biggio is pre arb next year. Stripling is Arb 3 though. He probably gets 5 or 6.

    I was thinking the same thing. 5 and 125. Maybe 6 years slightly lower AAV.

    That would suck, because it's Jansen that needs some time at AAA to work on his bat, not Kirk.

    We've had too many games where relievers have just walked the bases loaded. Having a reliever that's not going to give up the walks makes me happy. We're taking on 4 mil in Salary for Dickerson. I would have preferred to take on salary for a more useful player, but at least we got rid of Panik.

    I feel like the Jays could get Givens cheap and Iglesias for a bit more and we'd be in pretty good shape if Borucki and Merryweather return. Noe Ramirez and a ptbnl was the cost for Iglesias in the offseason.

    John Axford started for the FCL Blue Jays today. 1 scoreless inning 1K 0BB. I looked up the birthdates. 90% of the team was born 2000 or later. Then there's Ax 1983! The kids must have thought he was a coach when he walked into the locker room.

    Mychal Givens to the Jays and Kyle Johnston to the Rockies. Get it done as soon as Givens is of the IL. taylor Rogers to the Jays for Nick Frasso and Anthony Kay. Shohei Ohtani to the Jays for Nate Pearson, Groshans CJ Van Eyk and Joey Murray.

    Strip bailed the defense out. Solid outing again by Chicken Strip. I'd leave him in for the 6th. I doubt charlie will.

    Grichuk was way too nonchalant on the next play too. Jogged after the ball and didn't make a strong throw. They could have had the runner at the plate with a better effort. 2 uninspiring defensive plays in a row.

    He was out, but history has dictated anything that close is never overturned. They finally got one right in New York at our expense. Where was that level of accuracy in the Yankee game when Vlad was safe at 3rd.

    I mean, we need to win this game, but I still feel bad for lopez. He's pitched fairly well today and the umps have screwed him.

    That ump should be fired.....Reece totally sold that one. Ump was still deciding what to call and just went with Reece's reaction.

    That fastball had lots of movement riding in off the plate at 94. Strip threw it exactly like he wanted. Sometimes you just tip your cap. Might have to adjust and work the outside part of the plate a bit more with that wind though.

    I see this as plus not a minus. We have money to spend next year. Going into next year with Max and Ryu wouldn't be awful.

    It was 5 to 2 with one out and 2 RUNNERS ON BASE with the tying run coming to the plate. If he had brought in Payamps or Castro that would be one thing, but a lefty rookie to face 3 f***ing right handed batters. It was a f*** up by Charlie. I was yelling at my TV when Saucedo came in, not when he got lit up.
