  1. how is the ump not giving border line calls in a 9 to 0 game. Does he want to be here all night?
  2. so has the news of going home energized this team..lol Springer dinger!
  3. This day is going so very well. 2 quick games and team Canada taking on team USA in the gold cup at 3!
  4. He was 2 for 2 last night before the game was suspended which probably put his OPS in the high .700s again. Hitting like crap is a bit critical.
  5. That looked like an ump picking a fight with Charlie, not the other way around.
  6. Sweet! We were wondering about that place. Probably do a day trip to the falls and hit the Lion Safari too. I have a brother in Etobicoke, not far from the hotel I'm looking at. I've been to Toronto quite a few times, but it's been over a decade since my last visit. My brother always complains no one comes out to visit him. An August trip could be topped off with a Blue Jays game if they just let them play!
  7. TFC has to be a good sign for the Jays. When is phase 3 reopening in Toronto? I'm trying to book a trip for August, but my little guy loves animals and I don't want to book if the aquarium and zoo aren't open.
  8. 111.1 off Scherzer. I can't help but wonder what Vlad would have done last night!
  9. For convincing his client to sign this year and next year prior to the season. He's locked in at 5.5 next year. If he just would have signed this year he would been in line for comparable numbers what the best have got in their 2nd arbitration years, which is way more than 5.5 mil!
  10. Salvador Perez is a great dude.
  11. Ohtani's agent should be fired. 3 mil this year and 5.5 mil in his arb 2 season. He's going to get the biggest raise in history for his final arb year. Kinda feels like if he's not extended in the offseason that he might be headed to free agency.
  12. soto's pitching was terrible.
  13. I feel like Mancini had the best pitching.
  14. You've never seen him pitch. How would you know?
  15. So you judge a player solely by fastball velocity..lol. You must have missed the elite command. Elite fastball command is absolutely something to get excited about.
  16. So we just need Ray to replicate what Cole did the other night! Can't wait for Ray to tell Montoyo to get off his mound!
  17. Danny Jansen....so happy for you kid. You needed it and so did the Jays!
  18. Middling stuff? You must have read different reports than me. He was a kid throwing low 90s with exceptional command of his fastball at age 18. He's only 20 now, so the fact that he's low minors isn't such a big deal. It's not like he's 23 or 24. I read reports that said he had a curveball that flashed plus at times, but needed some polishing and a changeup that was the pitch he needed to work on the most. Scouts love his delivery. I think you're underselling him. After all the walks I've seen from Jays pitchers this year, I'm not trading a kid who can command the fastball unless it's something a lot better than an expiring Escobar.
  19. tell me the Rays don't have a curse against the Jays. I don't believe it. Too much has happened to consider it just bad luck. I think we're dealing with the super natural. I can't stand playing these guys.
  20. Pardinho, the forgotten kid with great mechanics. 4Ks 1 hit, 0 walks in 3 innings this year since coming back. I hope we don't trade Pardinho for an expiring Escobar. He's got the talent to be one our best prospects this time next year.
  21. Cole went old school. 129 pitches. Told the manager to get the hell off his mound when he tried to bring in Chapman for the last out against Alvarez. Pretty impressive.
  22. Their pitch framing stats are pretty close. I know McGuire had an awful game in that category last but on the whole there isn't a big difference. Defensive runs saved has McGuire as the better defensive catcher for the career numbers. They are both pretty good defensive catchers. It's a matter of whether you want a good character guy who everyone likes and has a right handed bat on the bench or a lefty weirdo who jerks off in the parking lot, but who actually has slightly better career numbers. I don't get the argument that Jansen is way better than McGuire. Athletically he looks like he should be, but he hasn't shown in yet in the bigs. He could be a late bloomer like D'arnaud.
  23. Even if McGuire belongs in the s*** category...so does Jansen. Jansen has been worth 2.3 wins in 226 games. McGuire has been worth 1.5 wins in 103 games.
