  1. I just can't see why he wouldn't want to come here with our lineup and a hitters park, and by all accounts his asking price isn't that high.
  2. I know....I'll try and be more transparent. I make brain farts like the one org made all the time...I'm just joking.
  3. hey orgfiller...what's with the lol and delete...I'm a dope....but I wouldn't recommend signing melky to play second....always meant asdrubal
  4. I'd take zobrist, but I wouldn't in a million years trade Sanchez for 1 year of Zobrist. Just go sign Cabrera already. What's the hold up. Cabrera wants to sign a 1 year contract to re-establish value. Rogers is a hitters park and why wouldn't Cabrera want to hit in the 6 hole behind bautista, Encarancion and Donaldson.
  5. what about Cabrera...he seems the most obvious choice. He could be looking for a 1 year deal too.
  6. I'm guessing Arizona won the bidding....just a wild guess though.
  7. well there goes my dream...not really a big surprise though.
  8. If the Jays won Adeiny...if anyone else won he's becomes a massive player on a cheap salary..lol. You were talking kang up just last week ang....5 mil posting fee isn't too bad. The guy made 500k last year. What's his leverage. 3 years 12 mil plus the posting fee. I'd gamble with those numbers..or slightly higher even.
  9. better question....who on here would like the jays to win the bidding. I've been talking kang up for a couple weeks although I never thought they would get him. Anyone else want him on the Jays?
  10. I had the jays with a less than 1 percent chance of landing kang, but with this whole code of silence I'm bumping that up to 5%! I don't think the jays will go after kang, although I would love if they did, but why hasn't the team announced they won the bid. Most normal teams don't feel the need for secrecy like the Jays.
  11. thames had legit power and had a pretty good first season. His .OPS was .727 for his mlb time and he couldn't play a lick of defense. Thames may very well be a better player now than he was in the MLB...and his offensive numbers weren't the big problem when he was in the mlb anyways.
  12. you are indeed correct I didn't read your full quote. I read the first line and posted my question..lol. I'm in my office doing some work and not give the jaysmessageboard the full attention it deserves.
  13. sure...why don't you post a pick of yourself and your woman so we can rate you. This thread is a reminder of how young most posters on this board are..lol
  14. Are you drunk right now?
  15. I'd take lind's wife over your blow up doll
  16. how did the nationals get trea turner and joe ross for steven souza and travis ott? The Rays got the short end of the stick and the padres and nationals made out like bandits. We should have went after Myers.
  17. okay...he's not going to be the difference between making the playoffs or not....thanks to all the guys wearing their captain obvious costumes.....I'm still cheering for the kid...maybe he holds down the last spot in the bullpen for a few games this year.
  18. 60 innings isn't a big enough sample size to tell you anything. He does have over 500 innings in the minors with 7.3 strike outs 2.0 walks per 9 and .7 hr per 9 and 9.5 hits per nine. He's a soft tossing lefty pitcher who throws strikes. Probably is a minor league deal, but do you know how infrequent it is to have a saskie in the majors...let's go albers! Terry Puhl was the last saskie to play in the majors...lol
  19. Another Canadian and a Saskatchewan native no less....woohoo! What's the harm...might make the pen as a long relief guy and could have a good scouting report on kang!
  20. would have been funnier if you had said get the puck out of here! Go Flames!
  21. so says the team doctor..lol
  22. The dodgers are getting pretty close to paying more in salary for players that don't play for them next season than Houston or Oakland pays for players that do play for them...lol.
  23. Morrow touched 100 out of the pen. This is where his value lies. With his diabetes he shouldn't be a starter.
  24. Norris has pitched quite a few less innings than Sanchez. Sanchez will be the number 5 starter at the beginning of next year. I highly doubt out of Sanchez, hutch and Stroman that at least one of these guys won't have some injury issues even if they aren't that serious at some point during the season.
