  1. Are you actively cheering against Sanchez to spite Boras?
  2. Drury, gurriel and brito where they belong at least.
  3. I don’t remember the last time we beat the Sox. Beating them at there home opener with sale on the mound might be the highlight of the year
  4. You're missing the point...it's particularly tough for fireball relievers to get an out and then sit and get ice cold and then have to go out and throw again. If this was mid summer it would be one thing, but I can cut them some slack given the conditions.
  5. bring the high heat now
  6. In this weather you really don't want a guy to have to rush to get ready and come in for one out and then have him sit in the dugout for 10 or 15 minutes and then have to go out and get 3 more.
  7. It's 3 degrees...Giles isn't ready.
  8. what a fantastic decision to bunt
  9. He's 24 years old....He's physically mature....let him come up and make some mistakes. The fragility of the players psyche is grossly over exaggerated.....You don't think Gurriel has some things to work on? He clearly belongs in the minors.
  10. Why? He made huge adjustments last year and showed a tremendous approach at the plate. This year he's already hit two bombs and taken 5 walks in 18 at bats. Gurriel might not have 5 walks until mid June. We have Hanson and Gurriel ahead of Biggio at 2nd....no reason not to bring him up.
  11. They have already said they are going to get him at bats before he comes up and he hasn't even hit Buffalo yet. I highly doubt he's up in 5 days. There's zero reason not to bring Biggio up though.
  12. They still going ahead with it, if he's optioned to Buffalo?
  13. yeah he made a good swing, bad luck. Hopefully he can take some confidence from that and start getting some knocks.
  14. at a boy Danny....I still think he's going to have a great year....my god a run...almost forgot what that felt like.
  15. man Biggio is on fire another home run and 2 more walks to bring that total up to 5.....the early leader to push for promotion from Buffalo.
  16. I think we've struck out more than 50% this series without actually looking it up. Runners on 2nd and 3rd and none out, you could actually make a case for a safety squeeze to try and get the run in and the runner at 2nd over to third. I generally don't advocate bunting a lot, but this is a unique lineup....lol.
  17. we're now at 30.8%K rate....so I think that qualifies as close. Early strikeouts are often blamed on cold weather and we played our first 7 in a dome, so I like our chances for leading the league in strike outs.
  18. I don't mind doing errands for my wife and missing 2/3rds of the game right now..lol. Maybe I'll bring the Jays luck to spark a rally now!
  19. Buffalo with Buchholz on the bump might be a better game to watch today and that's without Vlad. If Vlad was there I don't think there would be any question...lol.
  20. Brito and his career obp of .219 leading off. Why can't we get some real media to ask why this is? I know we're talking about 183 plate appearances, but why put added pressure on a young player who's yet to any success at all. Brito should be batting 9th.
  21. He’s been an above average hitter for his career and he actually has some decent speed. He scored easily on the Grichuk double from first. His defense hasn’t been an issue this year so far. Why don’t we wait a few months to see if there is some improvement. Subtracting decent hitters from a lineup like the jays doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense
