  1. it's tough making fun of the guy when he keeps getting f***ing hits!
  2. seems like an early hook for Buchholz
  3. Is there a leafs pity party going on this afternoon? Where the f*** is everybody?
  4. Biggio, who's by all accounts a pretty decent 2nd baseman, is now playing first so Gurriel can learn to throw a ball. Biggio's played first in the past though, along with 3rd and he played in the outfield in the fall league. There is no reason not to bring Biggio up. He can play anywhere on the field.
  5. There was a leafs game last night...the jays had no choice...lol
  6. Biggio's playing first base now. Why don't they at least play Biggio in the outfield and expand his versatility if they are going to play Gurriel at 2nd?
  7. Doesn’t thi belong in the gdt? You still worried about rowdy lol.
  8. He was right on it. A quarter inch higher with the bat and that was a homer
  9. Lowry just took his 4th charge and it's still in the first half!
  10. there's a hockey game on....I'm watching the raptors.....every time I turn over to the ball game Thornton is giving up a hit.
  11. yeah...wasn't thinking. We would lose our 2nd pick and 500K of our international bonus pool. There's going to be a lineup to sign Keuchel June 1, but I doubt we would be at the top of his list.
  12. go out and sign Gio to a one year and Keuchel to a 3 year deal. He could probably be had for 3 years 39 mil at this point.
  13. and yet you can't get beyond the numbers. Common sense would say that something like that would effect a guy, but it's hard to determine to what degree. Still, you ignore his major league numbers as a fluke. Granted we're talking about 135 plate appearances, but they are the most recent plate appearances and the ones at the highest level. Looking 2 years back and writing a guy off given the circumstances seems ridiculous. This team is literally littered with guys you could go off on. How about Brito, or Drury..lol. I have no idea what Rowdy is as a major league player, but he's a first year player making peanuts. When he stands next to Smoak, Smoak looks small. I'm going to give Rowdy a little latitude to see what he becomes. His power is every bit as legit as some of the best power guys in the game. There aren't a lot of guys who have the ability to hit a ball with an exit velocity north of 115.
  14. Yeah, I'm sure having a mother dying didn't effect him at all.
  15. Tellez isn't a fat f***, he's a big guy. Rowdy's 6'4 250. Fielder was 5'11 275.
  16. only 16 of 42 first baseman who had more than 300 plate appearances had a wRC+ of 110 or better. Rowdy makes the league min....I'd take a 110 wRC+ from him in his first full year any day of the week. If he could do that in year one his upside might be a wRC+ of 120 or better.
  17. so you think he's going to have a 32% K rate this year? He is not Giancarlo Stanton. What is he though? What do you think his walk rate will be? How many bombs will he hit?
  18. strike outs are a problem if you don't take your walks and you don't have real power. I don't care if Tellez' K rate is close to 30% as long as he can have a walk rate around 10% and hit 30+ bombs.
  19. Just go sign Keuchel....there I said it.
  20. Now put Biggio in for Sogard and that's a lineup I could get excited about.
  21. thing about that play is it's not about ability. Making that play is as easy as pie, it's all about attention to detail and focus. It should be within his ability to clean up those little mistakes.
