  1. I guess, I mean they fine them and hand out the odd suspension but Vontaze Burfict and Ndamukong Suh is still out there delivering cheap shots any chance they can
  2. And I agree with you that the instant retaliation is tiresome and unneccesary. However, with competent officials the aggressor who attacks the hitter a lot of times is receiving the instigator or extra minor penalty resulting in a power play, so while it is annoying the rules still usually get properly enforced. There are a lot of instances where NFL players get into it in similar skirmish's, and perhaps we'd see it just as frequently if the rules weren't as harsh. Any punch thrown is an automatic ejection + fine and possible suspension. If the NHL had the same enforcement the fighting would be gone, however you'd have the Matt Cooke's and Steve Downie's of the world causing havoc. Kind of a catch 22
  3. While I agree the fighting after a big clean hit is annoying, there are times it does make sense for dirty hits from goons on stars. And to even compare it to the bolded is extremely laughable and frankly ridiculous
  4. No I agree, for his age his numbers aren't all that impressive just wanted to be a dick and point out the SSS passive aggressively
  5. so why exactly are we focusing on the 12 game sample in high A, and completely ignoring the 154 wRC+ he put up over 62 games in A ball?
  6. How the hell is this gonna work for statistics? It'll just go down as an inherited runner for the pitcher and no run against if he scores? RBI's and runs scored stats will be affected. The advanced stats shouldnt see too much of an impact however.
  7. Manfred has an obsession to speed up the game but he's looking in all the wrong areas. Fix the damn replay process before anything else
  8. Breslow sucks
  9. It appears as though your grapes have gone sour
  10. 12th row in the 100 level outfield are some of the worst seats in the house. You can't see any ball up in the air, and there is a lot blind spots from the wall in front of you.
  11. I dont think so. Only the first 8,000 purchasers of the 20 game flex pack were guaranteed a chance at postseason tickets
  12. what did he say?
  13. wait till Canada Day when they roll out with red pants
  14. I dont think it means anything but we could ask Stro if there's a translator online
  15. you're just a hater, my day 1's are the realest ones. shout my stee's get on my wave
  16. I understand this is a selling tool, but to sell more red and make the dome blue & red everywhere doesnt have the same effect as to when its all blue & white. Especially when were playing red teams like the red sox it just looks so much worse
  17. I honestly thought it was gonna be baby blues. That woulda been cool
  18. Because thats the only situation in which the player will ever come up to bat right? What if the tying run is on 3rd with 1 out late in the game
  19. When you start a thread and reedjohnsonfan is your only thanks http://s2.quickmeme.com/img/86/863a10b7b1ab2e516c6998c2faca44a6ef9a8a5330908b17c10d164ffd6a309e.jpg
  20. I was going to point out how you shouldn't rely on a small sample size to effectively measure performance, but you did that in your own post without even realizing it
  21. until Saunders takes his hat off and you see his huge bald spot
  22. I cant remember if I read it somewhere or just something I perceived in my mind, but wasnt Saunders not the most popular teammate in the locker room?
