  1. Signability and contract demands. Those guys are almost surely going back to college. The only chance they had at signing was if they were taken in the first round. It would basically just be throwing a pick away at this point
  2. His bat must have really taken off after that as he ended up hitting .312
  3. I dont know much about Adams but based on a few rankings and scouting reports it seems like a solid pick
  4. The link posted by TL worked fine for me
  5. 3 of the last 4 picks were guys not in the top 200 $$$$
  6. We might if he stays true to his committment at UCLA. His scouting report isnt terrible though: I've read 5 or 6 scouting reports on him that all say his future is likely better on the mound.
  7. From what I've read most scouts agree he or the team needs to make a definitive decision on what position he will play in order to get proper development
  8. no doubt, just giving my 2 cents and stating the way I'm viewing things. People are allowed to disagree or be upset if they choose, I get it
  9. really you can read as much positive or negative things you want about any particular pick and use your own bias to hate or love a pick. Im not gonna pretend I know more than Shatkins and the entire scouting regime who've been tracking/scouting/interviewing these players for months. I think we've got the smartest FO we've ever had and I'll trust the picks we've made were the right ones. There's plenty to look forward to
  10. I agree with you, its more just wishful thinking on my part
  11. Probably not, but the whole injury thing has him sliding a bit. He likely needs Tommy John to fix his arm and so its reasonable to expect him to drop.
  12. You could probably add Burger to the (wont happen) category. Hiura is a name im surprised isnt mentioned more. Limited to DH this year due to injury dropped his draft stock but he could be a steal with a late first round pick. Hiura has been ripping the ball to the tune of a .442 average, and he's never hit below .330 in college. Top 3 for me are probably Carlson Hiura White
  13. While I agree the playoff system isn't ideal, no .500 team has ever made the playoffs. 82-80 was the worst playoff record and that was the Padres in 2005 winning their s***** division. Since the double wild card era the worst record has been 86-76.
  14. she did go into detail in a blog post
  15. the f***in drums and s*** drive me nuts, we cant get out of this s*** hole fast enough
  16. this team goes from being awesome to frustrating as f*** way too often
  17. I was just trying to force that gif in there
  18. Bautista has reached base safely 3 times in the month of June
  19. This all could have been avoided if you had a stronger ratio of quality:troll-like posts
  20. Are you serious? The circumstances are completely different. Reyes situation was reported to police immediately and he was arrested the same night, where the wife was taken to a medical centre and had visual injuries to multiple parts on her body. This Norris situation came out a year after the alleged assault where no report was filed just some vague claim in attention seeking semi-nude instagram post. If you wanna treat every situation the same thats your choice but it's easy to see the difference here.
  21. If anyone hasn't seen the interview with Travis here's a link to it. He fights back tears trying to describe what happened. Pretty heartbreaking, really feel for the guy. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/blue-jays-travis-emotional-talking-latest-injury/
