He had 0 DRS in CF last year. Granted, he played 0.1 innings there but if you extrapolate that over a full season he's a league average center fielder. Certainly not a bad option given the price tag and offence!

Shatkins adds Mike Ohlman, Leonel Campos and Dominic Leone. The Astros add Josh Reddick, Brian McCann and Charlie Morton. This organization clearly isn't committed to winning. Rogers is probably saving up for a solid gold Ted Rogers statue to stick in CF like Monument Park once was in Old Yankee Stadium ! -

I remember this start in Cleveland. I don't like the idea of making him a starter. Stick him in the ~90 IP relief role BTS suggested a have him make some two-times-through-the-order starts if need be. Throw Bolsinger in AAA and try to acquire a Jesse Chavez type to stick into the front end of the bullpen. Sign a few vets off the scrap heap with minor league deals, like they did with Fausto Hernandez and Wade LeBlanc last year, and that makes for some reasonable depth. Heck, I wouldn't be opposed to adding Wade LeBlanc to the pen if he's non-tendered by Pittsburgh. -
