I wonder what the fallout will be from this. I don't know how they can suggest the clock Ross sees has no merit. Replay the possession at the very least.

    DeRozan has been horrible tonight.

Shatkins adds Mike Ohlman, Leonel Campos and Dominic Leone. The Astros add Josh Reddick, Brian McCann and Charlie Morton. This organization clearly isn't committed to winning. Rogers is probably saving up for a solid gold Ted Rogers statue to stick in CF like Monument Park once was in Old Yankee Stadium !

I remember this start in Cleveland. He was fantastic that night and looked destined to be a solid #3 for a bunch of years: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CLE/CLE201005030.shtml Starting didn't work out but good for Brett to reinvent himself into a dominant reliever. His presence will be missed in the bullpen.

    Horrible turnovers by both teams.

    I'm surprised to see it's above 20%.

Oh look Shatkins going dumpster diving while they let Edwin walk. Oops, I thought I was on Sportsnet.ca.

??? I'll take it as a compliment I guess lol

I was wondering where that Bo Bichette pic came from and it must have been from this: http://www.milb.com/news/print.jsp?ymd=20160905&content_id=199654214&vkey=news_t499&fext=.jsp&sid=t499 I don't remember hearing about this in September.

I think this is what it will be. Todd may push Vlad ahead of Alford though.

Welcome to the board, Josh! Unfortunately Dalton Pompey is not eligible for your list, so you'll have to make an adjustment.

I don't like the idea of making him a starter. Stick him in the ~90 IP relief role BTS suggested a have him make some two-times-through-the-order starts if need be. Throw Bolsinger in AAA and try to acquire a Jesse Chavez type to stick into the front end of the bullpen. Sign a few vets off the scrap heap with minor league deals, like they did with Fausto Hernandez and Wade LeBlanc last year, and that makes for some reasonable depth. Heck, I wouldn't be opposed to adding Wade LeBlanc to the pen if he's non-tendered by Pittsburgh.

I stuck in a guy at 15 who maybe doesn't deserve it but I guess I want to be able to say I had him on my list. There were 4 guys I really didn't want to leave off. The system is pretty good right now.

Hopefully this signing works out as well or maybe even better than the Franklin Morales signing!
  19. 43211234
Makes sense. With this signing and the talk about their outfielders, the Braves are apparently trying to go into their new ballpark as a team that's somewhat semi-competent. At least going into the season that is. Dickey can give you the potential for 200 innings of slightly above replacement level innings.

    Whatever happened to Bean Stringfellow?
  21. 43211234
I had no idea about the Kyle Drabek SS experiment.

113 mph exit velocity on that HR by Perez.
  24. 43211234
Today Alford was 2-3 with a double, HR, walk and a strikeout. Danny Jansen was 2-4 with a triple.
  25. 43211234
Nah, Gibby would platoon him with Upton. Does Cecil take 2 years and $14M? I'd love to see an Eric Thames experiment also.
