  1. Might be time to call it a night, my friend.
  2. No haha. I had just tuned into the radio feed before writing that post. Manoah faces 4 batters: K, double, groundout, K The only velocity reading I heard the radio announcers say was 91mph on the pitch to end the inning with a strikeout.
  3. Alek Manoah about to make his first pro pitch as I type this. Edit: Strikes out the first batter on 3 pitches.
  4. Reddit's upvote/downvote system is so bad. Both on the Blue Jays and on the Baseball subreddits all the comments are celebrating how much money the Blue Jays are saving because they upvote what they want to hear. The one person questioning whether the Blue Jays are off the hook has their comment basically hidden from everyone.
  5. It will be recorded on Youtube. Here's the game from last week: I'm sure you'll also be able to join the stream of the game late and watch from the beginning if you want.
  6. It will be interesting to see what Borucki's stuff looks like tonight. He looked great in spring training. Sitting around 94 if I remember correctly.
  7. Pompey either gets called up tomorrow or DFA'd. His rehab time is up.
  8. Jordan Zimmermann looks about 50 years old, not 33.

Why are people on twitter mad that William Nylander is using Eric Lindros' number? He played one season there lol
  11. Yep, you got the last one.
  12. 3/4 Albert Belle is incorrect.
  13. A bit of trivia to pass the time during the All-Star break: In the last 30 season (1990-2019) there have been four qualified position players who have posted a season with a 200 or greater wRC+. Who are the four players? Hint: Two of these were during the strike shorted 1994 season. And one of these from 1994 was a bit surprising to me and led me to looking up who had posted 200+ wRC+ seasons.
  14. Jim Bouton died. 80 years old. RIP
  15. Shoutout to John Schneider who was excellent throwing to Vladdy
  16. Big Nate really kicks up that back leg in his delivery.

Agreed. Thanks for the title but I'd rather cheer for someone like the Nuggets to come out of the West.

The Raptors should get the #25 pick every year + their own regular first and second round picks. Change the draft to 61 picks. The Bigotry Balance Pick!

Fold the franchise and retire on top. It's a shame but nba players are just too racist to have a sustainable winner in toronto.
  20. Dalton Pompey sighting in the GCL tonight.

    Yikes, that is just pathetic
  22. Jansen's wRC+ is now higher than Drury's. You have to think the DFA is coming soon.
  23. I just noticed that and came into this thread asking when Fangraphs added those numbers. Very nice addition. I do that all the time. Just yesterday I was looking at Eddie Collins' page and thinking he has to be the most underrated player of all time. It seems to me that you hardly hear a word about him. https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=1002451&position=2B
  24. Only $25 if you want a personalized shoutout from Blue Jays legend Alek Manoah! https://www.cameo.com/alek_manoah47 Edit: or you can pay Kevin Pillar $200 to see him sit in his car and talk over the radio! https://www.cameo.com/kpillar11 Edit2: Really getting off track here but Evander Kane will be making 8 million dollars next year but he's willing to make video message for $1? https://www.cameo.com/evander9kane
  25. Bichette played himself onto the team if his spring training performance actually had any chance of putting him in the bigs. Bo just came off a full season of AA and is 21. Vlad was 19, didn't participate in the full big league spring, had 48 games played above Lansing in his career, and missed a month in the second half of 2018 with an injury. I don't see how the situations are closely comparable.
