  1. https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2019/3/6/18252369/cincinnati-reds-scouting-report-series-part-2-player-projections Part 2: Talking to Travis Hafner, David Ross, Ben Davis, Jeff Schmidt about their careers and prospect status
  2. https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2019/3/4/18249155/cincinnati-reds-scouting-report-series-part-1-data-findings Thought this article would be of interest here. Especially with the Radio Scouts discussing scouting grades in the past. Didn't post in the Around Baseball thread because this place could use more threads outside of those aggregate ones.
  3. Well the gun was saying Borucki was sitting 95 too. Sounds like it was hot.
  4. I was sure I saw that this would be broadcast on tv on Sportsnet. Maybe they cancelled it when they knew Vlad wasn't in the lineup?
  5. WTF it doesn't seem to be on any of the Sportsnet channels
  6. Less than 48 hours until Blue Jays baseball returns. And the games this weekend are on Sportsnet.
  7. Speaking of the Rockies pitching, Jeff Hoffman apparently hit 100 at a Driveline workout this offseason. Probably just noise but he was certainly a top prospect before TJS.
  8. Vlad's debut. But I've already been lucky enough to see a Vlad dinger when I went to Buffalo in early September.

Hockey goal songs just haven't been the same since Gary Glitter was outed as a monster. No more Rock and Roll Part 2.
  11. Great write-up

The Raptors have played like trash for 2 months. I have no confidence in them getting past Milwaukee in the playoffs right now.
  13. Anyone here go to the baseball in the Pan Am games when it was in Toronto? I went one day and saw 3 games including Canada v USA Looking back the USA team turned out some quality major leaguers. 14. No, it's definitely not likely but it is possible. Needs 5 full seasons. Maybe an 8% chance or something like that.
  15. I wonder if there are still enough dinosaurs around in ~10 years that he gets some HOF votes if he makes it to 3000 hits. Very possible for him to get there. At 2237 now at age 35.
  16. Definitely the biggest sufferer of Boring Name Syndrome in the history of the sport.
  17. Now over 11 days since Fangraphs released their most recent team prospect rankings. Looks like they'll be dripping them out into May again this year.
  18. 24.24% whiff rate on the 33 changeups he threw. The swing rate on the changeup was 72.73%: http://www.brooksbaseball.net/outcome.php?player=600944&b_hand=-1&gFilt=&pFilt=FA|SI|FC|CU|SL|CS|KN|CH|FS|SB&time=month&minmax=ci&var=whiff&s_type=2&startDate=03/30/2007&endDate=01/16/2019 I'm really looking forward to see what Paulino does The fact that you your post gets deleted when you try to edit on mobile is so annoying

Was it the Players Only commentary? That is just atrocious. They don't even go to the arena. Just sitting in a studio watching the game on tv and talking over each other with nonsense.
  20. I made a Reddit thread but I'm not sure it worked. I can see the thread I made: But when I look at the new posts on the subreddit it doesn't show up: https://www.reddit.com/r/Torontobluejays/new/ Can anyone see the thread? Maybe you have to get mod approval for threads now.
  21. Fangraphs posted the Red Sox prospect list today so the Blue Jays should be within the next week or so.
  22. Great episode. The best yet. Might even be worth treading over to the degenerate waters of the Blue Jays subreddit to get some more eyes and ears on it.

And while everything else about Norm is preferable to CJ, Powell has to be the worst wing in the league on drives. Just no ability to finish if under any measure of defensive pressure.

You forgot the yell of "AND ONE!" that's audible on TV.
