    I've said this before but I think the best way to integrate advanced stats into the broadcast is via the sideline reporter vector. I don't think anyone is too enthralled by Hazel Mae or Arash Madani's sideline reports that Trent Thornton is working on his changeup this month, based on a youtube video he saw. Swap those segments out for someone who is able to present interesting and entertaining tidbits from more advanced analytics!

    If they have signed the 4 other guys I don't see why Martin would hold off until the August deadline. They'll simply offer him every remaining penny of the pool + the 5%. Maybe Boras would posture and try to get them to go beyond that but that ain't happening. Edit: I see now that BNS was just confirmed the Britton signing. No report on Frasso yet.

    I'm thinking Andrew Benintendi with a better hit tool for an Austin Martin comp. With a reasonable hope that he hits for more power and adds some more positional or defensive value.

    I don't see how this would give teams an extra year of control. Rule 5 draft rules would still apply and option years. 40-man spots are so valuable it's hard to imagine someone surviving long enough to reach 8 years without having been a Rule 5 pick, run out of option years, or DFA'd to make room on the 40-man. If you aren't on the 40-man after 7 years they would probably welcome the 8th year lol Unless I'm misunderstanding what this means or missing some other scenario.

    Who knows? Realistically I can't see how you'd give a high schooler anything above a 30 present hit tool - unless he's Alex Rodriguez or something. I'd still really like Veen but having some swing-and-miss issues against high school stuff does raise at least raise a small red flag.
