  1. Well this tweet is several hours old as Mahle was already traded. Wouldn't put much stock in it.
  2. Bass is weird. 4-seamer slider guy at the start of his career. Then suddenly starts throwing a splitter 20% of the time. Was a sinker/slider guy with the Blue Jays in 2020 getting 62% groundballs, mostly scrapping the splitter. Now he throws sliders almost 60% of the time.
  3. Montas would have been nice but if Morosi is linking him to the Blue Jays it must not be a real rumour.
  4. wtf Tabler is on the Peacock broadcast
  5. I remember he had Banda in a game he shouldn't have. I think some others I don't remember the specifics of.
  6. Lots of questionable bullpen by Schneider during his tenure.
  7. Yeah. I'm just wondering if the hit and run factored into that ugly swing.
  8. Does Bichette swing at that if the hit and run isn't on? Could have had a walk and two runners on. Instead it's a double play
  9. 2006 was the first year I watched the Blue Jays. We had just got satellite tv and I guess my dad put on the season opener. I remember it was Halladay vs. Johan Santana. Super quick game. Both pitchers might have went the distance but I'm not sure. I think I remember in the post-game they said there were no walks in the game. I think I watched virtually every inning of the remainder of the season. It was actually a pretty fun team.
  10. I didn't post too much on the mlb.com forums but I think my account was from 2009
  11. It has literally been over a decade since he was traded.
  12. Gurriel just tied Frank Catalanotto at 6. Catalanotto's game was in 2004 against the White Sox
  13. Maybe JBJ's. Vazquez's was a 93 mph exit velocity squeaker
  14. 5.61 FIP 0.23 xFIP 66.7 HR/FB% .500 BABIP Some HRs skewing an awesome Gausman performance!
  15. Danny Jansen takes the wRC+ catcher lead away from Kirk. Right now it's 154 for Jansen and 151 for Kirk. Just ridiculous.
  16. The Rocket almost thrown out admiring the liner lol
  17. Why did Kirk leave? Injury?
  18. Regarding Groshans' power. Here is part of his interview with Jonathan Mayo from this spring: https://www.mlb.com/news/jordan-groshans-spring-training-interview
  19. I didn't start watching until 2006. My first game was that summer vs Seattle. Extra inning game. The Blue Jays loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the 11th. Frank Catalanotto had a walk-off single after there were two outs. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TOR/TOR200607160.shtml I thought it was Shaun Marcum making his first start after moving from the bullpen. But apparently I'm remembering that wrong. That was a few days later apparently.
  20. The high performance department determined there was an 8.5% chance tonight against Lorenzen that Springer fell on a swing, hurt himself, and missed 6 weeks.
  21. Every Tiedemann start has been on a Friday this year. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/tariq-tiedemann/sa3018096/game-log?position=P&season=
  22. I didn't mind the Apple broadcast. Not a single f***ing gambling ad!
