  1. Not if he's still using whatever trick they taught him
  2. How about 40 million a year for 12 years but with mutual options every 2 years
  3. what's the difference between working out a lot using basic supplements like creatine, protein powder and vitamins, and taking steroids? How come one group of performance enhancers are allowed but another group is not? I have never understood this. Is it just because steroids have more risk so some people don't want to take them? Why not just legalize steroids (and hgh)? It would be a lot more fair that way since at least everyone would have the option of taking them if they wanted and we wouldn't have a small group of cheaters who are actually getting an unfair upper hand over everyone else
  4. lizards and snakes have the penis divided into two: this is known as hemipenis. It is kept inside the tail and exits to the outside during intercourse thanks to the erectile tissues. In spite of being double, during intercourse they only introduce one of the parts into the female, although they can do it alternately. The ends can be smooth or have spikes or structures to ensure grip to the female’s cloaca.
  5. The baculum (also penis bone, penile bone, or os penis, or os priapi) is a bone found in the penis of many placental mammals. It is absent in the human penis, but present in the penises of other primates, such as the gorilla and chimpanzee.
  6. unfortunate the Halladay trade didn't manage to do more for the franchise. At the time the return seemed about as good as you could have hoped.
  7. Can we just send Freddie freeman and mike soraka and what not to sweep those last two games
  8. In Alvarez's age 20 season he posted a 102 wRC+ in high A. In Vladdy's age 20 season he posted a 105 wRC+ in the MLB. Let's give our boy some time to keep developing. His bat will come around
  9. did you see the latest video of vladdy jumping rope? looks like he's down 30 pounds already
  10. Dalton Pompey is still around though right? He's not on the 40 man but he could be back. I don't think Danny Barnes was on any playoff roster so Dalton is our last remaining link
  11. I am very whelmed
  12. Amazing that some people here believe the Jays to be in this same situation. If we keep "rebuilding" for the next 3-5 years then we will not have Vlad and Bo for any substantial amount of time during the next window. The time is now to move into the next gear
  13. we're not rebuilding any more. We have been rebuilt. The core is here. It's time to SPEND (not that I would advocate giving more than like 11M to Edwin)
  14. I wouldnt have a problem with it if it brought back a top prospect. That would actually be a pretty funny timeline. Especially if hector Perez ever becomes anything
  15. Do we really need Dominican summer league Rookie Rookie+ (or whatever you call bluefield) Short season a Regular a High a Double a Triple a Most players are in the minors for 3 or for years so we should have 3 or 4 levels
  16. this was fun. Next year I will play with my head and not my heart
  17. https://www.stripes.com/sports/max-scherzer-s-210-million-contract-signed-in-2015-now-looks-like-a-bargain-1.591101 If Boras thinks Scherzer is worth 60 Million then God help us. 7/280 would be my guess for what we'd have to offer and I don't really see us regretting it if he takes it
  18. I am sure Shapiro isn't out there making deals and also I am sure he almost always rubber stamps Ross's deals, but it's pretty obvious that the overall vision is created by Shapiro. He says stuff about sustainability and pipelines of talent then Ross parrots it a few days later. A president doesn't need to worry about every little move as long as the direction is correct. I think that's why we're seeing a trend from business types in the president role (like Beeston) to baseball types in that role (like Shapiro). Because the big long term baseball decisions have to be made by someone who knows about baseball and the deals themselves aren't as important as the actual direction. Shapiro's skills should have him well above working the phones and negotiating trades - He just needs to build the vision and hire people to turn the crank for him
  19. Well it was a fun time while it lasted. Best of luck to the remaining participants
  20. Cash using him for the middle of the order was pretty smart, don't want to let this one slip away
  21. Grienke is getting lit up, wow
  22. Is Uncle Charlie on a pitch count?
  23. LOL @ the Trop not even close to sold out
  24. I think there are legit reasons to pick just about any of the 8 teams today tbh: Rays: backs against the wall at home with their best pitcher Astros: best team in baseball against a clear 2nd tier wildcard team with their 3rd ace on the mound Twins: At home with their good offence against Severino who might still be in spring training form Yankees: They just outclass the twins, if Severino is not terrible they should outslug them Nats: Strasburg and Scherzer will probably pitch a combined perfect game Dodgers: Probably the weakest pick of the day, but you can't sleep on that offence and Rich Hill could always pitch a gem Braves: Dallas Keuchel on short rest is not encouraging to me at all. Maybe this is the weakest pick of the day actually Cards: I have watched the whole series and still don't even know who is on the team. Can Goldschmidt carry them??
