BABIP is not luck. To determine if a player is lucky or not requires a full comparison of his LD/GB/FB/HR/SO/BB/etc rates against league averages. I guarantee you that if I joined the MLB right now I would have an atrociously low BABIP because I would be making terrible contact, just like Izturis (probably) has. I will leave it to someone else to do the actual analysis though

that's 100% on gibby. I cant believe optimal line-up construction isn't mandatory at the big league managerial level -

Heres a likely futile bump -
My roommate has never seen roy halladay pitch. I wanted to show him the 10 inning complete game against detroit in 2009 but mlb tv doesnt have archived games from that far back as far as I can tell. So does anyone know where to find archived games?
