Maybe issues with Bellinger's shoulder? He might be broken. Bellinger has dislocated the shoulder several times diving for ground balls and re-injured it celebrating a home run in the playoffs last year.
He was only really MVP-caliber 1 out of the past 4 years. True talent could maybe be only above-average.
I think Cimber is a good fit with all our hard throwers. The lack of K’s isn’t concerning. He doesn’t walk guys, and he's very good at limiting hard contact, and extremely tough to barrel up.
It’ll still think there’s games going on though? It might not recognize the 3rd week of playoffs as the finals. Looking back we've only used 1 week for the finals, and atleast the past 2 years it's ended before the final week of the MLB season.
I think we need to adjust our trade deadline and playoff schedule? The deadline is set for Sept 13th. Our playoffs currently start Sept 6th. Isn't the playoff championship round usually scheduled for the 2nd last week? To avoid our best players getting benched the last weekend of the season.
Our championship in 2019 was Sep 16 - Sep 22. First round was Sep 2 - Sep 8. All the above also applies for BORED, except the trade deadline is Sept 7th.
Edit: Nevermind, the Sep 6th is the correct start date. But it has us playing 4 round of playoffs? We need to adjust the "league stats end accumulating on date". Or merge the last 2 periods.
Let him catch 60% (3 SPs) and play the field 40% maybe some 1B/3B. Kirk can then catch the other 40%(2 SPs) and DH some. I can see us heading in the direction where a handful of our players play numerous positions, with guys getting cycled through DH.
I'd personally pull the trigger on that. Would also give us over a year to extend Berrios. And if he walks we get a pick.
I think we see some prospects getting moved this trade deadline. There's a lot of guys coming up through, and breakout/bouncebacks happening.
