  1. 3 years counting this year. 2019-2021. So even with his slow start to this year he’s ranked 9th. Why you’d use his year before his breakout doesn’t make sense. Do you also use Glasnow’s MLB days with Pittsburgh to evaluate him?
  2. If he’s fine with being a bench bat. Maybe a change of scenery and this DFA will give him just enough of a spark to make a dead cat bounce back and hit for one final season
  3. He'd have to exceed his ceiling to be up with those guys. He doesn't have the speed to steal the bases that Tatis and Acuna do, or hit tool of Soto and Vlad.
  4. Past 3 years he's top 10 in WAR. Above both Nola and Glasnow, and he's younger than both. Using 2021 WAR to evaluate a starting pitcher's value this early in the season is just silly.
  5. I'd take Giolito. I think the best is still yet to come for him, he'll continue figuring himself out. Now's a good time to buy low.
  6. Especially when there are numerous ad free streaming sites.
  7. I like the Sandy Alcantara side on that deal. Never really was a fan of Merrifield. Maybe it’s because he’s a royal, maybe I just don’t understand him. I keep waiting and thinking this is the year his value takes a dive.
  8. He hits a guy in the back of the head while the guy is laying face down on the ice. He's a repeat offender. They need to start handing out full year bans in situations like this. Pretty sure some of things Wilson pulls are even illegal in the UFC.
  9. Tellez, Teoscar, Springer, Bichette, Grichuk, Bautista, Donaldson, Edwin
  10. That was an error on my behalf. Reds do have atleast one. First time I looked it had only showed me qualified batters. Aristides Aquino hit 114+
  11. Not sure we'd have to go to that extreme with Springer. There's a huge difference between playing basketball and playing baseball. Would even be a huge difference between playing CF and DHing. If anything a load management plan would consist of Springer DHing more. Bonds didn't have that luxury which is why he would have had to sit out completely.
  12. I think I jinxed the Bluejays last night by sitting Cole Irvin. Sorry guys, my bad.
  13. Maybe it’s not a joke. Maybe they’re actively trying to sell their body parts.
  14. So embarrassing to think you know more about the roster than the actual team officials.
  15. Maybe switched back to pitcher since he's not all that great of a hitter? He was a 2-way player when we drafted him. Edit: looking at his instagram this is in fact what happened. His draft profile from the time. Scouting grades: Fastball: 60 | Curveball: 50 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 55 | Overall: 50 Scouting grades: Hit: 50 | Power: 45 | Run: 30 | Arm: 60 | Field: 55 | Overall: 50 Known since starring in the 2011 Little League World Series, Danner is one of the better legitimate two-way players in this Draft class. The scouting industry is still split down the middle on whether he'd be better suited on the mound or behind the plate at the next level. Danner has spent more time, especially in showcases, showing what he can do as a pitcher. He has a live fastball that can touch 94-95 mph and complements it with a solid curveball and a changeup that flashes above-average. He can fill the strike zone with all three, coming from a high slot. The UCLA commit also has the chance to a special catcher. He has good hands and a plus arm defensively and while he's a below-average runner, his athleticism helps him move well behind the dish. He swings the bat well from a crouch set up, with quiet pop that could end up being average power in the future. The one thing scouts agree on is that Danner's grades will improve once he starts to focus on one craft. But even as the spring unfolded, there was division among scouts whether he should stay on the mound or behind the plate at the next level.
  16. Maybe they're gonna try him there? He did catch some in college.
  17. It's also possible Edwin helps us win 2 more games or so, which means we still miss out on the playoffs but are back ~4 spots in the draft. Maybe we don't end up with Groshans.
  18. I think SP is the way they'll go. There's so many on expiring contracts. Greinke Verlander Kershaw Scherzer Stroman Gausman Syndergaard Ed Rodriguez Plus a ton of #4 types.
  19. LOD vs DDL Not existent VS Garbage Not sure which option is better.
  20. I’m with Dinger on this. If you lose a position to injury and don’t already have a backup rostered you’re gonna get stuck running trash out there. Highest owned percentage hitter right now on the FA list is Hernandez. Owner of a .528 OPS. I had the privilege of owner him for a few days when Bryant was down, would not recommend.
  21. Not sure? Since it’s a 2 week period.
  22. Teenage could also be like 18/19. Know what's really messed up, age of consent during his playing days was 14.
  23. Here's a more recent top prospect. Not sure he quite hit #1 though on all lists. Through first 175 games: Franco = 157wRC+ Robles = 162wRC+
  24. Pretty protective are you. Guessing you own a share somewhere?
