  1. I'd like to know this as well. Or would he be ineligible for the game since he might be considered removed from the game already.
  2. Would move one of David Price, Glenn Otto, James Kaprielian, Carlos Hernandez, Cole Irvin for a prospect or draft pick. Cost varies.
  3. 12:00 PM is Noon. 12 AM is midnight. Why would the deadline be after the first game has been played?
  4. He's been walking a ton of batters. He's also not on the 40-man roster. You don't want to just start throwing RPs with control problems on the 40-man roster if you think they'll eventually be a good bullpen arm some day. If he doesn't have his control problems figured out at the moment he comes up and walks everyone, what does the team do with him. Maybe he has figured it out, maybe not, it's only been 6 games.
  5. They'll probably just have to issue an apology. I believe there have been players that flipped off the fans, which would be considered worse than giving them a simple thumbs down. And I believe they didn't even get a fine.
  6. Just a heads up, it looks like Brownie had edited his post after the first game was played.
  7. Still would like to package a couple SPs into a deal .
  8. If he’s just happy to be here can’t we please just make him the mascot or something? He can still be the players’ friend.
  9. With the trade deadline coming up I’m gonna throw Baez’s name out there. He should also gain 2B eligibility here soon.
  10. Stats say he's a plus plus fielder. Fangraphs has him ranked 21st for Defensive Runs Saved for all OFers. While having less innings played than a lot of the people ahead of him. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=of&stats=fld&lg=all&qual=10&type=1&season=2021&month=0&season1=2021&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=2021-01-01&enddate=2021-12-31&sort=13,d
  11. It's really situational. Sometimes the coaching staff does mess with a pitcher's approach and it has negative effects. Sometimes a pitcher goes to s*** on his own. Sometimes an pitcher improves on his own, sometimes it's because of the staff.
  12. Is it 6 keepers this year? Last year I think we only did 5 because of the dispersal draft.
  13. You get to keep any balls hit into the stands. It's the bats you have to give back.
  14. This is my thinking. I'm 100% keeping the ball unless the player pays up. $50K doesn't seem like an unreasonable ask. If it's a rookies first homerun ball, sure give it back for a signed jersey. Miggy has made $400M off a game because fans comes to watch him. If he doesn't want to give one of those fans 25% of his income for that 1 day, the ball can't mean that much to him.
  15. Just to give us hope. Then they’ll lose both the Det and Bal series’.
  16. How will the game be blown today?
  17. Hand in for the 10th?
  18. Wow, Bellinger reached base ONCE this week. Bet your happy to have moved on from him in Bored.
  19. I’d like to turn 2 starting pitchers into 1. Or move a starter + hitter for a hitter upgrade. Or even move a SP for a prospect/pick. Giolito, Gallen, Garcia, Carlos Hernandez, Kaprielian, Price, Hearn, Irvin, Widener, DeSclafani, Houck, Gil. They’re all on the table, there’s someone for every budget!
  20. That sums it up well. He's won numerous championships managing numerous teams. Hopefully the Jays give him the job before he catches on with some other team. Maybe they just wanted to get him some major league coaching experience before making him manager? That's why he's filling a position called "Major League Coach"
  21. We already have one. John Schneider.
  22. This offseason wish list for me is 3B, one SP, one RP. Bryant for 3B - Was traded at the deadline so he won't cost a draft pick to sign. That'll allow Smith/Biggio/Espinal to battle for the starting 2B job in spring, with the other 2 ending up as super utility guys. One of Ray, Verlander, Kershaw, Scherzer, Syndergaard, Greinke, Gausman, Eduardo Rodriguez, Stroman. That would give us a strong starting 5, with Stripling as insurance for when Pearson gets injured. The SP market this year is stacked, it'll be a failure of an offseason if we don't end up with one of these #1/#2 type arms. One RP or maybe even two in the Héctor Neris tier.
  23. Williams is the real brains behind the team. You’re just his puppet.
