The case could be made for Jansen over McGuire. But Stripling has a 7.30 ERA when throwing to Jansen and a 3.84 when throwing to McGuire. Some pitchers are just more comfortable throwing to certain catchers, and they're more in sync.

Stripling has one of the lowest GB rates in the majors. Makes sense to have your best defender out there in CF.

Well, he has put up the most WAR between our 3 catchers. He's not bad. He hasn't been all the great as of late, but it shows with him only having 3 games started in Sept.

I've updated the rules for debuting players to match the MLB leagues. Instead of being fair game when they're officially called up. It's tough to decide what counts as a source and to nail down an exact time. The new rule will follow the MLB fantasy leagues. DEBUT WAIVERS - if a player with no NHL games played plays in their first NHL game, including the postseason, any owner can request publicly that a commissioner place them on Debut Waivers, and any commissioner who sees a public request is obliged to do so. If a debuting player is not placed on Debut Waivers they can be added at 8 PM Eastern Time two days after their first NHL game. If a commissioner places a player on Debut Waivers they must post so in the message board thread or send an email to the league. *If numerous people have a problem with this change we can put it to a vote. This just seemed like an obvious change as I believe there have been previous problems with the call up rule. Updated rules can be found here. Are we able to drop players during the draft to make room? I can't remember what the verdict was from the Baseball drafts? If teams are able to self drop during the draft they're allowed to if they want to create extra space. Commishes will not make any drops for them though.

That would be a fun way to end the regular season. I imagine the Sox would take A, Jays would take B, Yankees would end up with C. Who would choose to play in a single elimination game instead of having to lose twice?

I think this hot September bought Montoyo some more time on the team. I'm almost certain they'll keep him around and he'll start the year with the team. I could see them replacing him with John Schneider if the team starts cold though and is under performing to start the year.
