I think this is a lost cause, we can always try again next year.. I have a feeling that even if we did get our 20 there would end up being a bunch of dead teams.

I think if AA can get one good starter this winter this team will have a rotation that can compete for a playoff spot. I'm hopeing for Garza or Tanaka because they won't cost anything except cash, everyone else would cost draft picks or prospects. That would give us Dickey, Garza, Morrow, Buehrle, Stroman/Hutch/Drabek/McGowan. One of those last 4 will surprise in spring training and force their way into the 5th spot. That will leave the other 3 plus Rogers, Romero and Nolin to fill in when Morrow goes down. I'd be willing to bet that 2 of Stroman/Hutch/Drabek emerge as above average starters for our rotation next year. Also... How sad is it that this year out of all the players that made starts for us, f***ing Chad Jenkins put up the lowest ERA out of everyone. -

You'd only really need one, for late in the game when they get on base. Gose! Then he goes in for a defensive replacement for Melky.

The problem with Ziggy is he doesn't get it... Doesn't know what a platoon is.

Konerko would be a good choice. With his and Lind's split stats for the pitchers they would be facing over 600 PA would equal out to be... .305/.384/.915 with 28HR. All for only 10-12 mil. No one can say that would be bad production for that price for DH. How much would a player sign for that would put up that stat line? There is our "Choo bat" at half the price.

I say we keep Lind and sign or trade for someone who can mash leftys. Pair the two of them up for the whole season. You'd pretty much have an elite hitter at DH/1B for the cost of 10mil, when on the open market a player like that would be 20mil.

I think it would take up too much time to have everyone try to vote. I looked back at all the suggestions and came up with these. I think we should use them unless there are a few people against it and they have a good reason on why it should be different. Roster: C, C, C, LW, LW, RW, RW, W, W - D, D, D, D, D, D - G, G - BN, BN, BN, BN, BN - 22 Roster Players, 18 Keepers Stats: Goalies: W, SV%, GAA, S --- Skaters: G, A, +/-, SOG, HIT, BLK, FOW, PPP Farm: 7 spots - Prospect Draft taking place before the season and before the Roster Draft. Only able to draft players that have not yet appeared in the NHL. **We'd have to decide if we want to have them eligible for call-up when A) They are set to play their first NHL game, or When they appear in the yahoo database. I'm leaning towards as soon as they are in the Yahoo database. We'll do the drafts similar to what was done in the DDL. With the Prospect Draft being the reverse order of the Roster Draft. Both are snake drafts.

Moises Sierra has .7 WAR already. .6 oWAR and .1 dWAR in 20 games. That's 5.7 WAR over a full season. He's not in Goins league but I guess 5.7 WAR would still be passiable.
