  1. Totally forgot about this. Thank you SD and SF for driving up his price.
  2. I think I'd be alright with Greinke on a cheap 1 year deal to be our #5. Throw him in there until Tiedemann comes up. He'd be a better bet than some of the #5s we had to start other years.
  3. Could be small sample size, I'm not sure what something like Zone% stabilizes at. It jumped from 37.4% to 42.6%, which doesn't sound like much. But the 42.6% would be around the 26th highest rate, where 37.4% is the 4th lowest rate.
  4. Yes, he did. He received more fastballs and saw more pitches in the strike zone.
  5. If we had Kiermaier in CF he calls off Bo and makes that catch. We go on to win that game, Game 3, and the World Series.
  6. It's hard to say what Reynolds is defensively. 2021 and 2022 have been opposites for him. Statcast out above average stat has him at the bottom of the barrel for 2022 at 6%. But in 2021 he was one of the best at 98%. He's had good sprint speed and arm strength both years, but his outfield jump took a hit this year.
  7. It's looking like Bowden Francis might actually reach his ceiling as a back end starter. It's nice bringing up arms like Manoah and having them perform as #1s. But it's also good sometimes to have guys that can fill out the #4/5 spots that are homegrown. It helps with the sustainability model. If we can get to a place where there's a steady stream coming up through, it allows us to trade them off 1 or 2 years before free agency when their arb totals are starting to get higher.
  8. I feel he’s also too slow for CF.
  9. Also just saw that Bryan Reynolds has requested a trade. Unfortunately though they already have a COTF.
  10. Josh Lowe might be an interesting target from the Rays. Something like Moreno for J Lowe and Rasmussen.
  11. Outs above average might be a better stat for instinct/range. Their past 3 year percentiles have been: Teoscar 10%, 39%, 14%. O'Neil 92%, 86%, 72%.
  12. That is gonna be such a bad deal.
  13. Didn't BTS take him in the 1st round of the DDL start-up draft?
  14. I feel like you’re trying to overcompensate for something.
  15. That should be a negative against him.
  16. You don't even know who he is. You don't deserve Brian De La Cruz.
  17. He's been in decline since his 2020 breakout. Which also happened to be the age that's seen as "prime". His floor is more like 1 WAR, ceiling might possibly be 3-3.5. There's a reason Steamer has him at 2.1 WAR.
  18. Would you like to trade De La Cruz in the DDL?
  19. One of these guys are going to break out. Not sure which one though.
  20. In CF I have Jarren Duran, Nick Senzel, Victor Robles, Akil Baddoo, Bryan De La Cruz, Leody Taveras. None are great, some aren't even good. But they're all available.
  21. Ideally we trade Kirk for an ace defender like Jose Siri.
  22. That makes it a child's game compared to hockey.
  23. It's easy. They just need to put the sphere puck in the net more than the other team.
  24. Maybe the Jays have learnt about holding on to declining assets. Sometimes it's better to sell a touch too early than too late. It's an important skill to stay consistently competitive. Teoscar's stats had peaked at age 27, and he's declined slightly the two seasons after that. I'll miss his bat in the lineup, and wish him well. But it was the correct choice to move on.
  25. Bowden Francis seems to always have a good K and BB rate. But he can't keep the ball in the yard.
