  1. How long now before we hear of a Danny extension?
  2. We got ride of two of the main “class clowns” this off-season. Hernandez and Gurriel were two of the main guys when we were a losing team, maybe that effected how they handled themselves. It might’ve rubbed off on the younger guys as they came up. Seems like the front office has a plan in motion and the quick exit this year in the playoffs might have had a say in it.
  3. He got way too many games. It's a shame the MLB bullied him for bringing light to the sticky stuff. I hope he continues to not give a f***, I wanna see him tackle the issue with the balls next.
  4. I wanna see the Yankees trade for a guy at the trade deadline some year and have that player refuse to shave.
  5. I'd sign Eovaldi if he'd take a 1 year deal. That would leave the next group of 6-8 guys as depth. It's nice to have a plan in place incase one of our top 4 miss some time.
  6. Forgot about Mayza. He also tops Romano there, Mayza was 2013. Danny Jansen is also 2013.
  7. Tied with Danny Jansen. I figure that's why he's on the ad.
  8. Does anyone have any under 30 talent available? Some contender must be horny for Justin Verlander. He'll be a #1/2 until he's 45.
  9. Peralta actually hits RHP very well. Would be alright as long as he’s strictly a platoon guy. I feel Conforto will end up getting overpaid once he’s the best bat left on the market.
  10. What? 1998 they rolled out the highest payroll of any team. They were top 10 in 2017. Last year they were dead last. Reddit is the worst.
  11. If he turns into a relief ace he’d also be worth it. Out of the pen the only guy with a higher K-rate then him was Edwin Diaz. This might be the Jays plan, everyone has been moving for a strike out arm in the pen. I read that they were looking into Cueto, this was after signing Bassit.
  12. I thought he was gonna get more.
  13. Leave Spanky alone. Don't you have a catalog you should be flipping through?
  14. Astros will acquire Varsho and then flip him immediately to us for Danny J. Essentially a 3way.
  15. Does it not take some balls to gamble on KK? He has the potential to be a top 10 CFer. Before this year he ranked 13th, 11th, 13th for CFers by WAR. Even battling injuries this year he was comparable to someone like Dylan Carlson on a value per game basis.
  16. It would be kind of exciting being a Padres fan
  17. A lot of starters left at the moment. And I'm fine with going into spring training with #5 being a competition. Internally we have guys who have the potential to step up; Kikuchi, White, Bowden Francis, Nate "dare I say" Pearson. Maybe try to sign 1 or 2 dead cats to minor league contracts to add to that bunch.
  18. Malloy seems similar to Gabriel Martinez prospect value wise?
  19. We might then be able to flip Acuna to the Mariners to reacquire Hernandez.
  20. 3 of his best 4 seasons were with the Jays. The 4th of 4 was with the Padres. I think it’s a coin flip. The stats says the Jays, the fluffy stuff says the Braves.
  21. Trade values site shows it as an even match. Braves do need a SS if they lose Swanson.
  22. Warmouth must have been removed off our AAA roster?
  23. We need an Alomar/Carter for Fernandez/Mcgriff type trade. Bichette + Jansen for … + …
  24. Looks like we didn’t lose anyone in the Rule 5 Draft. We also didn’t draft anyone. First Round 1. Nationals: RHP Thad Ward (Red Sox) (hat tip to Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com) 2. A’s: 1B Ryan Noda (Dodgers) 3. Pirates: LHP Jose Hernandez (Dodgers) 4. Reds: OF Blake Sabol (Pirates); Reds later traded Sabol to Giants for cash or a player to be named later 5. Royals: pass 6. Tigers: RHP Mason Englert (Rangers) 7. Rangers: pass 8. Rockies: RHP Kevin Kelly (Guardians); Rockies later traded Kelly to Rays for cash considerations 9. Marlins: RHP Nic Enright (Guardians) 10. Angels: pass 11. D-backs: pass 12. Cubs: pass 13. Twins: pass 14. Red Sox: pass 15. White Sox: RHP Nick Avila (Giants) 16. Giants: pass 17. Orioles: RHP Andrew Politi (Red Sox) 18. Brewers: RHP Gus Varland (Dodgers) 19. Rays: pass 20. Phillies: RHP Noah Song (Red Sox) 21. Padres: LHP Jose Lopez (Rays) 22. Mariners: RHP Chris Clarke (Cubs) 23. Guardians: pass 24. Blue Jays: pass 25. Cardinals:RHP Wilking Rodriguez (Yankees) 26. Yankees: pass 27. Mets: RHP Zach Greene (Yankees) 27. Braves: pass 29. Astros: pass 30. Dodgers: pass No 2nd round.
  25. That seems like a lot. I thought Seiya Suzuki had better numbers.
