Well the Bucks have a better record so far, though agree OKC is a much better team on paper when healthy than them. The East isn't as bad as it once was. Sure the 7th and 8th seed might be .500 or with losing records, though the teams at the top of the conference are contenders for a title. OKC missed KD for a long period of time, and Westbrook has been injury prone missing time as well. Obviously when those two are healthy, OKC is a top team, though there is a reason why they are .500 this season. KD has only played 23 games and RW has only played 36. Sorry but if the reasoning for this decision is because OKC might miss the playoffs, well thats not a valid reason. Injuries are part of the game.

Most of the teams in the East have been really good this season. It's not an awful conference as it once was. Toronto, Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago, Washington are all serious contenders. Miami might miss the playoffs in the East, so if Silver's main motive to change the playoff structure because OKC could miss the playoffs, then what about a team like the Heat. I know they don't have KD and RW, though Wade and Bosh still grab a lot of spotlight in the NBA.

Refs have a huge influence in football and soccer especially. I'd say those along with basketball are the worst three.
  8. Wasn't Archie Bradley one of the top pitching prospect like a couple of years ago? Goes to show you that prospects are sometimes way overhyped in fantasy. I remember inquiring about him (not sure which league) and he was basically deemed untouchable. Like NJH said he's probably a good buy low right now, though it goes to show you how a prospects value can just take a nosedive.

I have a pair of Raptors tickets vs. the Nets on Wednesday - Section 114, row 13. Send me a PM if interested.

  12. Still have some veteran BP arms that I could move: - Casey Janssen (just signed with the Nats) - Rafael Soriano (possibly the Jays closer?) Can easily make a profit with these guys if they find their way into a 9th inning role.

Did Wendel win a Stanley Cup for the Leafs? End of discussion!
  16. For $4 million on a one-year deal, theres no problem with them signing Vogelsong. You can never have enough pitching, and its not like their current rotation doesn't have question marks. Lincecum has been pretty bad the past three years, Petit has never pitched a full season starter workload, Cain is coming back from injury, Hudson is a year older. I've never been a fan of Vogelsong, though for the price point, you can't go wrong.
  17. + Donaldson if you think about it
  18. This made my day lol.
  19. That same manager in my ESPN league now offered me Corey Dickerson and Drew Pomeranz for Zach Wheeler, Ryu and Shelby Miller. The guy seems desperate for pitching so going to try and squeeze more out of him.
  20. When he was on the block, where were you haha
  21. The other 19 teams passed up on Beau during the draft. Including you as well I was trying to dangle some of my young guys like Bennett, Coyle, Nieto, Sekac and others and didn't get any interest whatsoever. Considering we only have 15 keepers, Bennett was on the borderline for me keeping. But yeah, NJH likely wins this deal in the future if he plans on keeping Beau.
  22. The guy is seriously injury prone as well. I dangled guys like him and Coyle and nobody valued those guys at all in trades. I picked him up off waivers back in October. Nobody even drafted him during the regular draft. Knowing my luck though, probably comes back to bite me.
  23. Is Beau Bennett that good? I mean he would have been a borderline keeper for me and he wasn't even taken during the main league draft. Then again, what do I know about hockey
  24. Yeah its crazy. I originally called the Jays box office back in December to ask about flex packs and the guy first asked if I was a Rogers employee and I was like yes (thinking he asked me if I was a Rogers customer), so I asked "Why? Do I get a special discount for being a Rogers customer?" He then told me Rogers employees get a 50% discount on flex packs and single game tickets. I think they get 30% off season tickets, not sure its 50. It then came to me that I have a family friend that works for Rogers downtown so I figured get the tickets through them. He saved me like $600 haha because if he didn't tell me I would have likely bought them at full price.
  25. I bought it through a Rogers employee so I got 50% off the seats. So around $650 for the entire package.
