Happ will be going for his career-best 13th win of the season on Sunday. Happ had a six-start winning streak stopped last Sunday when he did not factor in the decision in Toronto's 5-3 victory at Oakland. He allowed five hits, one walk and five runs in 5? innings. In his last seven starts, he is 6-0 with a 3.19 ERA. Happ was 4-6 with a 4.64 ERA in 21 games, including 20 starts, with Seattle last season. After being traded to the Pirates, he was 7-2 with a 1.85 ERA in 11 starts. In three career starts against Seattle, he is 1-1 with a 6.35 ERA. Miley (6-7, 5.38 ERA) will make his 18th start of the season and his fifth start since being reinstated from the disabled list (left shoulder impingement). He is 0-5 with a 5.60 ERA in his last five starts dating to June 12. On Tuesday he allowed six hits and three runs in 6? innings in a loss to the Chicago White Sox. That was good enough to earn him another chance on Sunday. In four career starts against Toronto, he is 1-2 with a 6.98 ERA. In his last two starts against the Blue Jays he is 1-0 with a 4.63 ERA. Drew Storen gone, Ryan Tepera called up.

Osuna a starter?

Yeah like BTS said, the arm you likely replace him with from Buffalo isn't going to much of an upgrade, if any at all. It's unfortunate that Storen hasn't panned out here because the Jays could really use him right now. Not sure what the exact stats are, though it seems like when Storen hasn't pitched in the closers role (even when with the Nats), he was pretty awful. Even when they went out and got Papelbon last season and pushed Storen down to the 8th inning, he just imploded.

Mariners aren't that s*****. They're 49-47, their lineup has a pretty darn good middle of the order (Cano, Cruz, Seager) and they threw two good pitchers at the Jays in the first two games of this series (Paxton can shut down a lineup when on & Iwakuma is really good). I expect the Jays to crush Miley tomorrow.

I stayed at the Hyatt when I went to Chicago back in 2009 to catch a couple of Cubs games. Nice hotel and a nice bar/lounge as well. I believe your close to Millennium Park and I recall there was some good spots around. Definitely want to go back to Chicago again, seemed like a great city! Use StubHub or you could always check the Cubs site as they do release tickets close to the game. Not sure if you can scan the tickets from your phone via the StubHub app for Wrigley, though if not you just have to be close to a printer like Jay just said. As well, check out Vivid Seats as I've bought baseball tickets from them before as well.

They should have closed the roof today because supposedly he pitches better with the roof closed. Plus with the humidity out there haha.

Sanchez either gets shut down, or moves to the BP at some point from the sounds of it. He is either replaced with Chavez or Hutch. And stretching out Chavez likely will take around 2-3 starts. Plus, if you lose a starter to injury (e.g. Estrada, Happ, Stroman) on top of that, things are looking a bit thin. I agree that they could improve their offense as well, though if there is an opportunity to get an arm at a reasonable price, it doesn't hurt.

You can never have enough pitching. The last thing the Blue Jays need is to be digging for guys like Chien Ming Wang, Ramon Ortiz and the Aaron Laffey's of the world to be making starts down the stretch if one of their starters or two go down to injury.

Half a season worth of stats isn't considered that much of a small sample size.

It would be cool to see them both play on the same team someday.

Yeah just checked on the Blue Jays site. A seat in Sec 116 would cost $115 each + service fee's. That's crazy! I thought even with dynamic pricing tickets were like around $90 face value for premium games. I remember paying around that total for the Home Opener and I was even sitting in Sec 119 and closer up. Do you have season tickets?

Tickets are $120 each face value? I know they raised ticket prices to weekend games, though still never thought they were that expensive.

His K% rates have been on the rise as well the past two seasons in comparison to his first three seasons in the bigs. Any reason to this?

Does Toronto have another similar pitcher like Nestor Molina that the White Sox might covet?

Maybe enforce the pitch clock between pitches forcing the pitcher to get back on the mound to deliver his pitch to the batter. I know there is already a clock though it's not strictly enforced. If a pitcher goes over his lets say 20 second clock, then a ball is rewarded to the hitter etc. As well, someone mentioned that when doing a pitching change, there is no need for the manager to go out to the mound. Substitutions in any sport don't have a manager or coach going out on the floor or field to substitute a player. Funny when you actually think about it. Additionally, shocked it wasn't mentioned the time instant replay/challenges have taken. It's absurd that a manager can wait close to a minute before officially challenging the play. Should be like in football, where a flag is thrown from the dugout right on the spot.

Yeah it really restricts a manager, which is something I'm not a fan of. The issue of pitch count becomes an issue as well. You don't want a reliever throwing more than 30-40 pitches in any outing. Just a tough rule to iron out and likely would never work.

I wonder what kind of package the Jays could get if they even dealt JD as well?

I'm sure the league then would make a rule that if pitchers are taken out because their arm is sore, then they have to be placed on the DL right after or can't pitch in a game for like 5 days or something to that extent.
