  1. Anyone getting tickets to see the Jays in Montreal? Presale for tickets go on sale today for Inside Pitch subscribers. The last two years games were sold out. I can't confirm if I could go 100% though if I bough pairs to both games today anyways, and couldn't end up making it, would they be easy to resell on StubHub?
  2. They've played some ALDS and NLDS games in the afternoons around 3-4 PM. MLB really hasn't played postseason games at the same time. If the Yankees make it through in the Wildcard and play the Royals, then they will get the prime time slot at 7 or 8 PM every night, thats a given. If the Blue Jays come in first in the AL and meet the Yankees in the ALDS, then for sure the games will be at 7 PM or 8 PM. If its Blue Jays vs. Texas, games will be played at 3 or 4 PM.
  3. Because there are so many tickets being made available with all similar high prices.
  4. Wish I was downtown tonight going to the game. Some great deals on Stubhub right now if anyone is close to downtown and thinking of getting last minute tickets on Stubhub - $40 USD each for Sec 128, row 19. Premium Dugout 117, row 20 - $60 USD. And today around 3 PM, the cheapest seat to get in the building was $45 and that was a 500 level nosebleed seat.
  5. Yeah they would be next to each other, so you're good!
  6. What the f*** is your problem? In the hockey thread you called me an ******* at 4 AM and send me a f***ing ridiculous email no reason? Is it because I said "Go Habs" earlier lol? What the hell did I do to offend you?
  7. I think if you're going to drop a pretty penny on tickets, I'd rather have that guarantee that StubHub or Vivid Seats offer. It will state when purchasing your tickets the row and the seat numbers. Unless you're buying 2 tickets in a block of 4 or 6 seats etc, you might not find out the exact seats until after the purchase, though your seats will be together regardless. Prices are quite high right now and like I said there are so many tickets available. You might be able to luck out and find a deal like burlingtonbandit did tonight on Stubhub for a cheap 100 level seat if you're checking every hour. Theres no harm in being patient and waiting closer to the date. Tickets that sellers don't move will come down in price as the date gets closer. If there was a limited market on Stubhub for tickets right now, then thats another story. I managed to grab a single for Game 1 in 113A, two scattered seats in 516 for Game 2 and another 500 level seat for Game 3 on the Blue Jays website. Also, I have a pair for one game per series via the person I bought my flex pack through, though I don't know which game yet I'll get. So I'll likely have some extra tickets available to sell for one of the games in the ALDS (possibly that pair I get) and for sure for Game 2.
  8. Probably, or even someone who bought tickets today. I don't think there are any instant download tickets available just yet.
  9. They just haven't made the tickets available for download yet, since I believe the Jays won't be doing so until October 1st or the date they know opponent/time they are playing etc. Ticket prices are pretty high right now, so its really up to you on how much you want to spend and where you want to sit. There are so many tickets available right now on StubHub and Vivid Seats, so I wouldn't panic. Plus, if you don't know your schedule and lets say can't make an afternoon game at 3 or 4 PM, then you don't want the hassle of reselling them & possibly losing some money.
  10. True, there are ways to make sure that you are buying from a legit person. I've sold tickets on Kijijji, never have bought. I've usually showed them proof of purchase without them asking in the first place, like through my MLSE account, to show them that they were legit. Still, if I'm purchasing an expensive ticket to an event, I'd want to have that reassurance that if anything does go wrong, I'm guaranteed a full refund.
  11. Since Stubhub is a marketplace for tickets, you can always resell your tickets if you can't make it. I called asking about the Yankees/Blue Jays game in NYC because of the weather and if a game got postponed to a later date that I couldn't make, they said I'd be able to re-list those seats on their site.
  12. Here are some examples that could happen just off the top of my head. Lets say if the seller has posted his/her tickets on both StubHub and Vivid Seats. Lets say those tickets were sold on StubHub first though minutes later they then were bought on Vivid Seats before the seller was able to remove them. I had this happen to me with Raptors tickets last winter, though Vivid Seats actually called my cell phone and said the seats I bought were no longer available because the seller already sold them previously. Also, if the seller has those seats listed on StubHub, though is also listing them on lets say Kijiji and finds a buyer who meets up and pays cash, and the seller forgets or doesn't remove those seats from StubHub, then yeah you could get screwed if that buyer from Kijijji scans his/her ticket first to enter the venue. At least with StubHub or Vivid Seats, you have 100% protection guarantee when buying, so if you don't get into the venue, Stubhub will try to find you other similar seats or give you a refund. Thats the key rather than buying off someone from Kijijji or a scalper outside the ballpark.
  13. He's put up better numbers than V-Mart though...
  14. Sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats are 100% trustworthy for buying tickets on the secondary market. As a buyer, I'd rather buy an expensive ticket on StubHub over an actual scalper or from someone on Kijiji, since the ticket you are purchasing is verified and legit. You would get your money refunded if the game isn't played.
  15. Should you be talking that bad about the Leafs? You know your employer has a majority stake in MLSE now lol
  16. Anyone going to get Yankees postseason tickets during the presale tomorrow?
  17. This is the best time to sell. Every 6 PM news is talking about how Blue Jays postseason tickets went on sale today, how their were 70,000 queued online at 10 AM and how many people ended up disappointed. Even Sportsnet 360 on their commercial updates are stating this. I'm sure many fans who didn't get seats today are panicking and will likely hit the button on what are the best priced tickets on Stubhub (which are still quite high). If you're a seller, I'd list your tickets below what everyone else is listing their tickets at because I'm sure someone will go online and think "wow this is an amazing deal" and purchase them. If you list your tickets at a high, yet what seems reasonable price in comparison to the other tickets on the market, you can take advantage.
  18. Yup. I'm sure if you make your seats the lowest in that section or out of the entire 500s period, like in the upper $100s or lower $200s, some people will budge since thats the best price they see right now. Like burnlingtonbandit said, this is probably the worst time to buy though it probably is the best time to sell if you list your tickets at a reasonable price in comparison to some of the other high ridiculous prices, since I'm sure most people who didn't get tickets are panicking to get their hands on anything. If you make your pair standout from the hundreds of other tickets listed, I'm sure you can sell them right now and get great markup. Still, as the date gets closer and many of those 500 level seats that are listed above $300 don't move, they will be dropping and I'm sure they will be dropping close to what your tickets went for today, probably even less. You took advantage of all the hype today from postseason tickets going on sale from panicking fans who saw what they thought was the best deal on StubHub at the time. Applause.
  19. Congratulations!
  20. You can open the top parts of the windows I believe. Though yeah I'm just saying I'd rather watch the game from the hotel instead of spending a lot on nosebleeds in the 500s. Similar views, own private room and could bring your own food and alcohol. If a group of 5-6 people are willing to spend $200 USD each for crappy seats all the way up in the 500s, then you'd be better off just splitting the room. Obviously I'd prefer to watch the game from somewhere in the 100 or 200 level, or lower part of the 500 level around the infield.
  21. Thats a smart strategy. If you get a group of people and split the costs, it works out to be a lot cheaper than buying individual tickets. You'd have your own room, own alcohol, and washroom. Probably is worth it.
  22. Just curious, how much does it cost for a room with a ballpark view at the Renaissance Hotel? I'm sure they are quite expensive especially now during the postseason. Though it wouldn't be that bad considering if people are paying around $200 USD each for 500 level seats or more for 100/200 level outfields, get maybe a group of people together to split the cost of the room and you still get to watch the game, and even buy your own alcohol. I'm sure though rooms were already booked way in advance.
  23. October 1st could be a day more tickets are made available through the Blue Jays. I remember reading that Oct 1st will be the day ticket quantities are finalized by, so if people purchased more than 4 tickets for the same game, those tickets will be released. Could be wrong, though I think I read that somewhere today on Ticketmaster.
