  1. Probably would have the cost the Jays 2/18 or 2/20.
  2. OT: just traded Brad Boxberger for Keon Broxton in the FC. Dinger would be proud!
  3. Watch him save 30-40 games with them if Colome gets traded or injured.
  4. Wilner is a f***ing idiot.

    Patriots all the way!
  6. Great points made. Even the return Hurl got for Jose Fernandez wasn't proportionate to what his exact trade value was.
  7. Yeah I'd be getting Mike Trout. I figure Machado as a FA will get over 30M anyways, so salary wise it's going to end up being a wash, unless Trout cracks 40M after 2020. Only downside is the position eligibility, but Trout offensively is the far superior player.
  8. He likely accepts the 17-18M QO.
  9. In a 30-team salary cap dynasty league, would you trade Manny Machado straight up for Mike Trout?
  10. I offered Randal Grichuk back in the summer straight up. Also, would offer a late 1st rounder easily.
  11. Also, he had a thing for Dirk Hayhurst I recall.
  12. Bordick was pretty solid here in 2003 - 1.8 WAR. I remember Greg Myers back in 2003 and him having a breakout season at the age of 37 or 38 lol. Slashed .307/.374/.502 with 15 HR's and 1.7 WAR in 121 games. How was his pitch framing, just curious?
  13. ECJF had the biggest boner for Randy Ruiz.
  14. Joe Inglett was pretty good in 2008. 1.7 WAR in 109 games.
  15. I guess my offer was the best and probably only one?
  16. Kris Benson. His wife Anna Benson was pretty hot and crazy haha.
  17. Yeah really like the signing. Likely will use him as their closer and then flip him at the deadline to a contender. Feliz was really good last season. Shocked it took a team this long to sign him.

The Biyombo signing for Orlando has been a disaster.
  19. It's called replace those managers. I'm sure we could get two new active owners very quickly from this board.
  20. Trevor Cahill a starter in San Diego? My LOD team is liking that FA pickup this offseason!
  21. Yeah if it was in CAD, it's not bad. Seeing how its in USD makes it very pricey, especially if travelling solo. Don't like how it's non-refundable as well, since you're locked in for something all the way in August. Also, I assume it's not covering transportation to Chicago. You can probably do it for a cheaper price if planning by yourself. If travelling solo, best to probably book a private room on AirBNB which would be half the cost of a hotel room. If going with 2-3 people, a $250-$300 CAD per night hotel split between 2-3 isn't that bad. Private cruise sounds nice, though after a game I'd be more inclined staying in Wrigleyville or going out for beers at a sports bar. If I went with a buddy, here's a rundown on the costs: - $300 RT flight to Chicago (would use points so would only pay the taxes) - $250-300 for two nights of a hotel (split between a friend) - $200 on tickets between both games - $200 on drinks/entertainment for both nights - $100 on food roughly (depending on what & where you eat) - CTA 3-Day Pass is $20 USD. Other transportation with Uber pools I would say probably around $20 USD. Anyone could probably do the trip for around $700-$800 CAD if going down with a friend which isn't bad. If going solo, best to book a private room on AirBNB since it would be far better value than a hotel.
  22. The front office saved themselves from what would have been a PR disaster if they lost both EE and Bautista, especially to Cleveland. Don't care what people say, Jose Bautista is a Blue Jays icon and one of the best hitters in franchise history. Glad he's able to come back and hope he could retire here.
  23. Great news! Makes my Monday!
  24. Yikes thats expensive.
  25. It's still a fun tournament to watch, though its a joke for the above reason you mentioned. Not all the very best play in this tournament and the pitchers have a strict pitch count limit to begin with so every game is really a battle of the bullpens. I just can't take it as a serious tournament.
