  1. Semien side as well. I love Cronenworth since he has multi-position eligibility and is younger, though Semien will give you better overall power numbers over the next season or so. Belt is like Lyle Overbay when healthy, so he can be a solid bat, nothing spectacular. Taylor's playing time worries me.
  2. The bullpen will be such an important factor in the early going. If the bullpen gets off to a horrendous start blowing winnable games in April and May, the Jays missing the postseason or winning the division by one-two games would really hurt.

Raps have done well this season after a brutal start, but doubt they get past the first round in the playoffs.
  4. George Springer becomes a pitcher as well and pitches 60 innings with a sub 1 ERA.
  5. Vladdy hits 72 home runs and drives in 188 Bichette hits 26 HR's and drives in 116 Biggio hits .254 with 25 HR's and drives in 88 with 20 SB Springer hits 45 HR's with 130 RBI Teo hits 29 HR's with 112 RBI Chapman hits 30 HR with 130 RBI Gausman goes 16-5 with a 4.03 ERA
  6. I would rather pay the $20-25 for an Uber each way and enjoy my evening worry free if I know I'm going to have some drinks.
  7. I'll wait and see what Bellinger and Yelich do over a full season of good health but yeah not looking good. Yelich I think can at least return to being a valuable player, Bellinger not so much.
  8. The Hurl will go streaking at the Rogers Centre this season.
  9. Yup pretty stupid. No need to drive 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. For sure he was wasted and had more than just four beers lol.
  10. Most likely. If he started at 8PM and only had 4 beers, he should have been fine to drive at 2am. He definitely had more and probably some mixed drinks/shots as well.
  11. Yup, I spoke with many Americans on my past travels and always asked have they ever been to Canada, and some have said they can't visit because of a previous DUI charge. If Pete Walker has a Canadian passport as well or a work visa, I think he'll be ok but who knows.
  12. You would think he just would have taken an Uber/Lyft back if he was in no condition to drive. Like literally just pay the $20-$25 ride which is nothing to him. He probably drank 4 beers over an hour or so and then drove. Also, wouldn't shock me if he had a shot or two of something. Should stick to the one beer per hour rule if he's driving after.

I'm joined the waitlist for Bills season tickets haha
  14. Spanky, I'll buy the tickets if you're buying all night
  15. Your tickets are a great price in comparison to other similar seats on StubHub. I use to be crazy about the Home Opener when I was younger, but now it's not the end of the world if I go or not. Saturday is the game to go to for the bobblehead haha. Will definitely message you for other games during the regular season.
  16. Friday and Saturday are expensive because it's the Home Opener and since Saturday is a bobblehead giveaway day. I'm not a big fan of the Home Opener as well anymore especially at my age. It's mostly casual fans, the dome is packed full of people, lineups for concessions and washrooms and getting out of the downtown core by public transit or Uber will be a nightmare.
  17. Tapia will be like Fred Lewis with the bat though better defensively.
  18. Aubrey Huff for sure haha.
  19. Most MLB players are Conservative leaning but regardless of political association or vax status, a lot of American and Latin American ballplayers probably prefer playing in the US after seeing the tight restrictions in Canada over the past year. Regular lockdowns, mandates, fear mongering everyday by the mainstream media & government up here doesn't make it a very enticing place to play, let alone dealing with the cold weather and higher taxes. Like you said, I'm sure many other players have the same concerns whether vaxxed or not. It's a lot easier playing for a US based team and only maybe crossing the border once or twice a year to play in Toronto versus crossing the border multiple times throughout a season. Factor in the environment in the US versus the environment here in Canada during the pandemic, most athletes would prefer playing in the States and I don't blame them. Long term who knows the consequences these vax mandates have on the Blue Jays targeting free agents or players in trades. Even which high school or college players to target in the June draft! The Jays already had to overpay to bring talent north of the border and I'm sure all these developments over the last year didn't make things easier.
  20. Yup exactly. I don't know why people on here thought the vax mandate was a huge advantage for the Jays when in reality and behind the scenes, it wasn't. The vax mandates for sure prevented the front office from signing or trading for certain players/pitchers but at the end of the day we won't know who it was unless something gets leaked by the FO. Regardless, the Jays still had a solid offseason, though would kind of suck knowing they could have acquired better talent if it weren't for the mandates. Hopefully moving forward this isn't an issue. Most importantly, I would hate the Jays being restricted at the trade deadline from adding a top bat or arm because of a vax mandate still in place.
  21. Yup Jim, it applies to both sides for sure. An unvaxxed American player though can always go back to the US and doesn't require any quarantine etc. Though Canadian border measures would have to change for that to happen in order to have that American player playing at the Rogers Centre. As for a Canadian player, yes then they wouldn't be able to play in the US unless they had a certain special visa or green card where they can cross the border. So overall, if Federal mandates are eased on both sides, it would make things a lot easier.
  22. Taking a neutral stance here. So many people on here loving how the Jays will have a huge home field advantage when American teams are up here failed to realize that these Federal vaccine mandates still have a negative impact on this organization as Shapiro this offseason probably was limited in terms of which players he could sign and trade for. Now granted, majority of players in the MLB seem to be vaccinated, but I'm sure they were interested in some players who remained unvaccinated. What happens at the trade deadline? What happens if there is a certain player or pitcher that the Jays could acquire but can't because of the Federal vaccine mandates? I'm just saying as a baseball fan and a fan of this organization, that would suck knowing that the Jays missed out on getting a certain player or pitcher that could have put them over the top at the trade deadline because of the Federal mandates. Hopefully this isn't a long term thing and that in the next couple of months, all of this is over.
  23. Do the Rockies still have Eric Young Jr?
  24. He was a beast for Cleveland out of the bullpen in 2016!
  25. Only in fantasy leagues that don't count .OBP as a category
