Can even use load management with Wall (don't play him back-to-back games) and limit his minutes. Raps could afford to do that with FVV in the fold. If John Wall is healthy, he's an elite player. Getting Beal is the main piece though so anything extra you get out of Wall, consider that a huge bonus. And if these trades would still allow the Raps to make a run at Giannis in two years, then I'm ok with it.

I agree, Raps need to do something and add another solid/elite player. I know people hate Westbrook, but he is one of the superstar's available and his value has likely taken a hit around the league anyways. OKC is rebuilding and will want to clear his contract. Westbrook probably now even has a bigger chip on his shoulder and would be motivated to show everyone in the NBA that he could lead a team to a championship. Raptors would be a great fit for him since he would have the pieces around him already and playing in the East as we all know is an easier path to the NBA Finals. Would suck to trade Lowry though, but his contract is expiring after this year and it's not a guarantee he re-signs with Toronto again. I would rather target just Bradley Beal and not John Wall. Devin Booker would be an interesting option as well.

    Some still do.

There is some potential growth with players like OG and Siakam will definitely get better. FVV could take another step forward and we've seen Powell be useful. No need to knock it all down, especially after winning a championship. If OG could take a really big step forward this year and get a lot out of him, Raptors could still be a Top 2-3 team. Masai still needs to add another solid player though to this roster though which I'm sure he'll do.

Not sure if the reports are true, but OKC offered the Raptors both Paul George and Russell Westbrook if Masai was willing to build a deal around Siakam. Possibly could have lead Kawhi to re-sign back in Toronto. Doubt it would have happened since the Raps didn't have the picks like the Clippers to pull of that type of deal but that's interesting. Westbrook could be on the Raptors radar possibly, if those reports were true.

Masai I'm sure has a Plan B. He shocked us all last year pulling off the Demar trade, so wouldn't surprise me if he has something else up his sleeve. He's not staying in Toronto to rebuild, he wants to win. Giannis in 2021 hopefully!

If they had enough room to sign Kawhi to a max contract, I think it should be around $30 million left. Could be wrong though.

    How about Gallinari?

Bradley Beal would be nice, but doubt that happens.

Devin Booker would be a nice add from Phoenix if the Raptors could somehow pull off a trade for him. It would be tough though. If OKC is rebuilding, I would go after newly acquired Danilo Gallinari from them. Gives the Raps a SF that could shoot the 3 and he wouldn't cost much in terms of trade I would imagine. Two free agents with some upside Raps should target: Jabari Parker and Kelly Oubre Jr. Parker was the former No. 2 pick back in 2014 and has an injury history. Raps should offer him a 1-2 year contract and after keeping Kawhi healthy all season with load management and their medical staff, Toronto could be a nice fit for Parker. Oubre Jr. has a lot of upside and played well when he was in Phoenix. He's a very intriguing option.

If Donald Trump is the reason why Kawhi stays in Canada, even Dinger will praise Trump and wear a MAGA hat lol.
  13. Just devastating. Only 27-years-old! Thoughts and prayers with his family and close friends and the Angels Organization. Really puts things into perspective. Enjoy everyday as its your last. Enjoy everyday with your family and friends. Cherish those moments.

Yeah I've been watching some US basketball media as well and they just love fapping all over the Lakers. Most on ESPN have the Lakers winning in 2019/2020 without even have fielded a full team yet lol.

Yeah but do you really think they believe that? I don't believe it one bit. The Lakers are still LeBron's team. AD and KL are the secondary pieces.

I don't think the Clippers could offer Leonard a load management strategy like the Raptors have and sit him for 15-20 games. Raptors last season proved they could do that and they still came in second place in the Eastern Conference.

Pretty much he replaces Marleau at a fraction of the cost. Nice signing.

Would be cool to see Leonard announce he's resigning with the Raptors on Canada Day. I would like to see the Raps target Kelly Oubre Jr., Seth Curry and it would be cool to bring back Vince Carter for his last season.

Can the Raptors afford Durant? I think next season will be tough, but once guys like Ibaka, Gasol and Lowry are off the books the following season, I think they would be able to squeeze him and Leonard in.

Raps should sign KD as well if they could. KD loved watching Vince Carter when he grew up and the Raptors were one of his favourite teams. The Raptors could be a perfect match for KD from a health standpoint - the Raptors did such a great job with Leonard keeping him healthy and offering him load management. Even when KD comes back, Raps could just play him 50-60 games of the regular season and still make the playoffs either as the No. 1 or 2 seed. Raptors just won a championship and with a healthy KD and Leonard in Toronto, they could likely win multiple championships over the next 4-5 years. Raps have a lot of money coming off the books after 2019/2020 with Lowry, Gasol and Ibaka as free agents. I'm sure Gasol or Ibaka would take less money to stay with the Raptors if they have both Leonard and Durant. Lowry might resign for another 1-2 year deal as well if he's healthy.
  21. Other catchers like Molina and Mauer hit the wall as well offensively around the same age. Catchers don't age well at all. After 30, time to cut bait.
  22. I think its safe to say Buster Posey is droppable in any 20-team dynasty leagues.
  23. Gallegos has been good this season with the Cards, but yeah awful move by Mozeliak. Gave up a lot of valuable pieces.
