  1. It's too bad they never gave him any more reps out in LF during the last couple of weeks in the season. I think if they start Kirk behind the plate and DH Jansen (visa versa), they prefer Moreno on the bench.
  2. I don't see why they would use Kikuchi in this series unless they think he can be an extra lefty out of the pen. But yeah scary haha.
  3. That's a 90% markup from the regular season which is crazy. How much were your ALDS seats if you don't mind me asking?
  4. They probably think JBJ with his experience is a better option than Zimmer. Will be interesting to see the Jays lineup for this afternoon. I hope Kirk and Jansen are both in it as C/DH. For LF, Merrifield would be ideal but that means Biggio or Espinal at 2B.
  5. Yeah 200 level outfield and corners were probably the best value in comparison to the 500 Level and 100 Level. How much are those seats usually during the regular season though? I just find Toronto teams go crazy when it comes to Playoff pricing. They jack up the price so much even if it's just the first round. I understand if its the NBA Finals, World Series, or Stanley Cup Finals. Most of the resale tickets online are done by season seat holders. As a season seat holder myself for some other teams, I can't go to every game so I need to sell them online if I can't sell them to any friends or family. If its a game in high demand, I'll price my tickets for what other similar tickets are going for and if I get that price, great! If not, I'll keep lowering my price until they sell. Even sometimes I've had to take a loss on some tickets/games, so that's why if I could make up with a more high demand game, you have to do it. I don't like when scalpers go online and just snag as many seats as they can for popular events. Ticketmaster needs to do a better job preventing that. As for Ticketmaster, they're as guilty as scalpers. All they care about is making money. They love the resale market. They make money from the purchaser through fees when they buy the tickets online first through their site. If that purchaser decides to resell them online, Ticketmaster takes a cut from them. If someone buys those resale tickets, Ticketmaster also makes money from the new purchaser as well. Ticketmaster and StubHub have pretty much replaced the common scalper. For them, if scalpers snag a bunch of tickets to an event and resell them on their platform, they're the ones gaining and don't care.
  6. I'm kind of comparing the type of deal where a highly touted pitching prospect and OF prospect were swapped for each other after they disappointed in the Majors during their first two or three seasons. Kelenic would be like Snider and Pearson would be like Lincoln. So deals like this have happened. So trading Pearson for a guy like Kelenic is pretty reasonable if both teams want to shake things up and based on team needs. Otherwise, you're not going to get anything for Pearson at this point, so the Jays would just be better off hoping he figures it out as a starter at some point or you transition him to the BP.
  7. While scalpers still exist selling tickets for concerts and sporting events both in front of the venue and online, most of the resale tickets on Ticketmaster or StubHub are actually done by the fans or season seat holders haha.
  8. Meh it's probably the 4PM start time on a Friday. If the Jays win today, tomorrows game likely will be the more popular since its a Saturday 4PM start. Also, its the Thanksgiving weekend and usually this is the last weekend the cottagers go up north to close down their homes before the winter haha. So some people might be heading out of town. Lastly, I'll even admit for the Wildcard Series, tickets were pretty pricey. Like my seats for Sec 235 cost me $310. Imagine doing that for all three games, that's just 1K on tickets! I find Toronto teams gauge their fanbase when the Playoffs start. Prices are ridiculous. Even as a Raptors season seat holder, playoff tickets are ridiculous and that's why I opted out of Playoff tickets for last season because usually before game time, tickets are cheaper on StubHub than even what I pay with my season seat membership price.

Broncos suck. Russell Wilson is so overrated as a QB. He looked awful! Colts suck. Matt Ryan needs to be replaced soon with Nick Foles. One of the most boring and pathetic football games ever. Can't believe it was on Prime Time!
  10. Yeah but you don't want to act all cocky and arrogant before a start and motivate the opposing team. It wasn't that bad to be honest but Manoah seems like the kind of guy who can act a bit arrogant/show up the opposing team.
  11. Remember when the Jays traded Travis Snider for Brad Lincoln? Wouldn't that be something similar?
  12. She's hot! That 70s Show was pretty funny back in the day.
  13. +1400 odds according to Vegas!
  14. I still give Goldy the nod over Freeman in the NL MVP for sure. 35 vs. 21 HR's and the fact that Goldy playing at an MVP type level was more helpful to the Cards Postseason chances than Freeman to the Dodgers. It's close, but I give Goldy the edge and I think voters will do the same.
  15. Was contemplating taking him. He's old but still very productive especially in assists. Definitely can provide excellent value if he stays healthy and doesn't lose a beat!
  16. Probably for another once top heralded prospect. Kelenic would make sense if both the Mariners/Blue Jays wanted to shake things up. Otherwise, best to just hold onto Pearson and hope you can either transition him to the bullpen or he does at some point figure it out as a starter.
  17. Tapia for World Series MVP!
  18. I wonder why Baltimore is the way it is after all these years? Hmmmm...
  19. Yeah any big market team like New York, Boston, LA, everything is amplified. From a marketing/viewership/ratings perspective, the MLB had a lot to benefit from it so it made sense for them to create that hype whether people thought it was deserved or not. Even if it was another player not named Judge. I'm sure the last two weeks of the season alone, a lot of money was made from Yankees games. Even teams like Toronto and Texas benefited having the Yankees in town that week.
  20. That's good to know. It's a shame when some players don't get the recognition they deserve because of falling short in those categories like RBI and pitcher W-L record etc.
  21. Didn't Manny Ramirez and Yoenis Cespedes get MVP votes those seasons when they got traded at the July 31st deadline? I remember some people in baseball saying Cespedes deserved the 2015 NL MVP after what he did with the Mets in just two months haha. It would suck if someone having a really good season like Justin Verlander or Aaron Judge were traded to the NL and continued to put up monster numbers. The only player/pitcher I could think of who got screwed from an award by being traded in July and switching leagues was CC Sabathia. Definitely would have been a Cy Young winner with those numbers if he stayed in one league. Though his numbers with the Brewers were on a different level.
  22. Yeah Mets don't strike out a lot. Darvish though did have success against them earlier this season. 6 K's over 7IP in his June start and 9 K's over 7IP in his July start, and that likely was with Marte in the lineup as well. All depends on how quickly he gets hooked but he's coming off a brilliant September (NL Pitcher of the Month). But Darvish could be erratic in some instances. Scherzer I agree is the better bet, especially being in the Postseason with Showalter being more of an old school manager. Better to put more money on him. As a same-game parlay, the odds are pretty good for both of them (+280).
  23. Jeffrey Springs, Rowdy Tellez, Josh Naylor, Willy Adames, Kyle Schwarber. I bet someone will vote for Albert Pujols as well for MVP haha. He should win Comeback Player of the Year though.
  24. Will most of the voters even know about xwOBA? haha Freeman definitely has the standings, BA and even SBs (13) that work in his favor. I do think he falls shorts on HR's with only 21 and with RBI however when matching him up with Goldy, something the old school voters will take into account. LA is surrounded by superstars as it is. So while their success in the standings can benefit his case, did St. Louis or even San Diego really have anyone else around Goldy/Arenado and Machado? Some voters will definitely say, if you took one of Arenado or Goldy out of the STL lineup or Machado out of the Padres lineup, their teams don't make or struggle to make the Postseason. I do agree with you how Goldy/Arenado could split their votes. Should be a tight race.
  25. Scherzer 5.5 O/U for K's against the Padres (-120) Darvish 5.5 O/U for K's against the Mets (+110) Take the over on both?
