  1. The Central is between Cleveland/Detroit and maybe Kansas City. I don't think Detroit is miles ahead of either of those teams. I love the Pirates (even bought a Paul Skenes jersey and a Pirates City Connect cap haha), but I wouldn't say they walk the NL Central. Cubs and Brewers are still solid. Could be wrong. I never said the A's would walk the west haha. They can be a solid sleeper team with that lineup and maybe sneak in as a WC. Said the D'Backs could be above .500 and I got them for over 78.5 wins. AL East still is a dog fight.
  2. Jays can't be any worse than the Leafs were this season 😂
  3. Considering all the pitching injuries Atlanta has had (Strider, Schwellenbach, Smith-Shawver, Waldrep, Wentz) and losing Profar to suspension, Kim, and Murphy to injuries, they're holding their own. I mean most of you guys were laughing at Atlanta and AA at the beginning of the season, so yeah 😂
  4. Brandon Pfaadt and his 5.94 ERA and that awful Arizona bullpen! Jays bats will crush them on Friday!
  5. In the past, it seems like the Jays have always heated up when playing in Arizona. Not sure if it's just me. 😂
  6. Jays will take 2 of 3 in Arizona. Bats will start getting hot in the desert!
  7. Blue Jays are 19 to 1 right now to win the World Series. Not much of a difference between what they were previously (17 and 15 to 1), so Vegas still thinks they should be in it.
  8. Dodgers (+46) and Braves (+44) both #1-2 in run differential. Braves pitching has actually done a solid job: team 2.93 ERA so far and a 3.58 FIP despite all the injuries they've had.
  9. Injuries are a part of the game.
  10. Um, Guardians I expect to contend for the Central again. Reds were a WC team last season and I expect the A's to be better with that lineup. D'Backs should hover around .500 probably.
  11. Romano f***ing the Jays again in a different uniform, two nights in a row.
  12. We need to clone Ernie Clement so we can have him fielding two positions.
  13. Konnor Griffin needs to prove himself first and post a couple 4-5 WAR seasons in order to do that. For every hyped prospect like Konnor Griffin, there sometimes is a Brandon Wood. Just saying.
  14. Some guys just don't perform in the closers role. Hoffman was elite as a setup guy with the Phillies in 2023 and 2024. I don't see why he can't transition back to that role and have success as a 7th/8th inning guy for us. The numbers are a strong contrast when he was with the Phillies versus his time with the Jays.
  15. Even some of those balls that found holes against Hoffman, Clement likely would have got to them. Okamoto's agility and movement at third is really disappointing. You can't have him fielding at third base, especially if the bat doesn't pick up.
  16. Ah defensively Okamoto looks awful out there. I'll give his bat more time to figure things out. Ideally he's best suited for 1B/LF or DH. If he doesn't start hitting and can't field at third, then yes it could be a bad signing. Might have jumped the gun in the heat of the moment of yesterday's game, so I'll take that back. He's not a write off just yet.
  17. Yes, Hoffman’s strikeout numbers are elite, but you can’t put blinders on and act like that alone makes him a fit for the closer’s role. The walk rate is too high, and the mental lapses and inability to handle pressure in the ninth have become a real problem. I’m a big Hoffman fan and have defended him plenty, but I think the Jays need to seriously consider a role change. His numbers with the Phillies as a setup guy speak for themselves, and the contrast compared to his time with the Jays is hard to ignore.
  18. It's still early and Bo is with a new team. I'm sure his numbers with the Jays wouldn't be this bad. Sometimes players really struggle out of the gate with their new clubs.
