  1. Hoffman pitched pretty well this Postseason. Closed out Game 7 against the Mariners. Sucks he gave up the HR to Rojas, but Jays still had a chance to win in Extras. Wasn't like Hoffman had a meltdown like he did at times during the regular season.
  2. I know damn, but even when adding them to your cart, they're getting swapped up. Not a fan of the 500 level as well, unless your the first 5-10 rows around the infield.
  3. Jays released some seats a bit after 11AM and f*** missed the first couple of releases after refreshing for the full hour between 10 and 11 haha. Sec 133, Row 36, a single popped up but would have been $2200. A lot of seats were popping up in Sec 539 but damn $1400 each so a pair would have cost $2800. I think TM increased the prices for this game, because for 500 level outfields, those are quite expensive.
  4. I know this sounds like a crazy idea, but damn I wouldn't mind the Jays bringing Chris Bassitt as a reliever next season. He's been lights out and has looked so comfortable out of the bullpen in leverage spots. I was saying this to myself during the Mariners series. Relievers are signing for multi-year contracts of around $12M-15M AAV anyways. Sign Bassitt for a one-year at that amount with bonuses (e.g. # of holds, saves, K's, innings, etc.). You can use him in so many different roles out of the pen.
  5. Welcome to the board Joe Carter! Best player in Blue Jays history!
  6. Yeah I was checking this morning and nothing popped up. Last Saturday around 10-10:30AM, some blue seats were popping up for Game 2.
  7. Jays release tickets morning of usually. Could have went last Saturday.
  8. I wasn't able to get any tickets for the World Series unfortunately. But will check tomorrow morning if the Jays release any seats. Will pick up a single for sure, even it's $1200-$1500.
  9. Need more of this attitude around here! As a baseball fan, love seeing a Game 7, but wish the Jays were able to close things out tonight. This Jays team has been resilient all season and Postseason long! After that Game 3 loss, they came back and won 2 games in LA. Never count this team out!
  10. Dodgers should start Ohtani if there is a Game 7 especially if they plan on using him for only 2-3 innings anyways. Have Ohtani as the opener, and then have Glasnow follow for a couple of innings. Solves the issue of losing Ohtani's bat after as a DH and having to play him in the outfield. For Game 6, everything is on table for the Dodgers. If they need to use Ohtani for an inning or two relief tonight, they have no choice lol.
  11. They should be loyalists and not patriots. They're afraid of being tarred and feathered.
  12. Agree 100%. Bassitt was pretty much rolling through the 7th and 8th inning, with the bottom of LA's lineup coming up. Given the context of the crazy 18-inning marathon the night before where the Jays went through their entire pen and with a 6-1 lead heading into the ninth against the bottom of the LA's order, would have preferred having Bassitt finishing the game and keeping Varland & Hoffman fresh for tomorrow. Varland has thrown 40 pitches over two nights. Hoffman threw 33 pitches on Monday, and using him 3 days in a row wouldn't have been ideal. Varland ended up getting himself into some trouble anyways. If Call gets a base hit there, the top of order is up with Ohtani, Betts and Freeman. Hoffman was likely pretty close to being used last night if it got to that moment. At the end of the day, it's something small and not the end of the world. Jays won which is the most important. However, we'll see if Varland is available today in a big spot and how effective he can be pitching 3 days in a row. Hoffman should be fine but sucks having to get him up and throwing last night.
  13. Huge win with the season on the line! This group showed huge resilience especially after last night’s heartbreaking loss and losing Springer. What a big win against Ohtani and the Dodgers! Vladdy hitting that HR off of Ohtani was huge! Best against the best! Bittersweet to see our superstar who signed an extension here hit a huge HR off a player who shunned the Jays during free agency! Fluharty came up huge after Bieber as well! Seems like he doesn’t mind pitching under the bright lights at Dodgers Stadium. We even saw him with that big outing back in August during the Sunday finale. I would have preferred Bassitt finishing the game in the ninth instead of dipping more into the pen. He was rolling in the 7th and 8th innings. Would have been nice to save Varland and not have to warm up Hoffman. Regardless, Jays won which is the most important!
  14. Need Bieber to go toe to toe with Ohtani the mound and pitch at least 7 innings. Hopefully Bieber is on his A game tonight and we can get 7-8 innings out of him. Would be huge!
  15. Later on in the game, Straw came up to the plate with men on. Forget which inning. f*** I'm tired haha
  16. Best ticket to have with the bed being seconds away to crash after that marathon lol.
  17. Hope Springer can come back for today, or at least at some point this series, but doesn't look good. If Springer is a no go, likely need to IL him and add Loperfido to the roster. Looks like Bo will move to DH regardless, with IKF starting at 2B. Hopefully Kirk is good to go as well for today's game.
  18. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Doubt it happens though. As cool of a game that was, dragged on for way too long and pretty much each team exhausted and was running on fumes. Both players and pitchers. I think they should change the extra inning rule in the Postseason for games that are not are a Game 5 or Game 7. For a game in the middle of a series, should have been over by the 11th or 12th inning. If it was Game 3 of the WC, or Game 5 of the ALDS or Game 7 of the ALCS or WS, let them play. In the middle of the series, wouldn't mind them considering bringing on the extra inning rule with a runner starting on second.
  19. Was saying the same thing while I was watching the game. Didn't get that move. Barger up at that plate in that situation would have been better than Straw. Jays completely gutted their lineup for extra innings. Was painful watching some of these guys get multiple AB's in extras. Obviously the Springer injury and if Kirk was injured afterwards, it's understandable.
  20. It's a 5PM start for them in LA, so the ballpark likely will be empty for the first couple of innings haha.
  21. I said "power wise." Varsho doesn't have the eye like Schwarber does, so that will limit him. Might be a 40 HR season in him. Still only 28 so it's possible.
