  1. It's nice and refreshing to see the game move at a better pace and not take 3 + hours anymore. I could watch a west coast game now at 9:30 PM and expect it to be over by midnight at least. That's why I always loved watching Doc and MB pitch. Both always worked fast and kept a great pace when on the mound.
  2. Yeah I'm not sure what Vegas is like during the summer months in terms of tourism, but would be freakin' hot for sure. Might be their low season in terms of tourists. Would need an indoor ballpark like Arizona for sure. If they build a world class ballpark and the team starts winning, don't see why not. Shocked the NBA hasn't moved a team to Vegas yet.
  3. Gonna watch the game at a Joey's. Half price wine night for bottles and happy hour starts at 9PM. Gonna watch both the Raps and Blue Jays.
  4. If anyone wants to sell a bobblehead, let me know.
  5. I think Nashville is definitely an option for an MLB team. Not sure a team would fly in Las Vegas, but hockey and football has. Salt Lake City or maybe Portland or Vancouver out on the West Coast. Don't think Montreal will get one since they're too close to Toronto and they would need a new ballpark.
  6. Wish I picked him up in the LOD. Let's hope he fizzles out and sucks like he did before.
  7. Yeah same here. Wanted to bet Strider today but he's at 9.5 as well. I usually bet if I find guys at good value around 4.5 or 5.5 K's. Or what I'll do is go under pitcher milestones and you can set the K total yourself. I'll sometime lower it to one or two below but you get worse odds obviously. Though if you do a parlay, that's the way to go.
  8. Yeah glad you were able to get one for your son after. As much as I love bobbleheads, better just to buy them off someone from Marketplace or Kijijji couple days after the game if you find someone selling it at a reasonable price like $40-50. You have to wait in line even before they open the gates so you're pretty much lining up 2-3 hours before the game, then you have a bunch of time to kill before the game starts, and you have to then buy expensive food and drinks at the ballpark. When 500 level tickets were like $10, would just buy one from a scalper, walk in 2-3 hours before to grab a bobblehead and leave.
  9. A lot of tickets available for tonight. I bet they will get a lot of walkups or people might decide to go down knowing the roof is open. Raps also playing tonight for their Play-In game so will be busy I expect downtown around the RC and Scotia Arena.
  10. Lmao are they lining up now?
  11. He got the under 9.5 K's on Bet365 last night haha. But still an unbelievable start!
  12. Damn I might change plans and go to the game tonight to get that bobblehead.
  13. f*** Jonn with a big lead. I'll go with Jansen tonight if he's playing. If not, I'll switch my selection.
  14. I expected some regression from him this season, and him to pitch more along the lines as a No. 3 or 4 with an ERA closer to 4 instead of pitching like a 1/2 starter. But yeah there is some concern especially if other guys like Berrios or Bassitt don't pitch well, since that only leaves the Jays with Gausman as their only solid starter.
  15. Bet the Mariners today to avoid the sweep!
  16. KK is looking a lot better than Bellinger that's for sure!
  17. Pop might be the hero in the pen we've been needing!
  18. If Chapman puts up a 6 WAR season, does he get close to Austin Riley money? Maybe not 10 years, but might get around $180-200M over 7 or 8 years if Boras can get a team to cough up that kind of money.
  19. Definitely will appeal to the casual fans who just want to chat and drink. Shapiro definitely is a smart business mind and knows what brings in people to the ballpark.
  20. Not going to happen lol. Just enjoy this season and hope he helps the Jays win a World Series!
  21. Post of the day! Hilarious but true.
  22. Yeah definitely an impressive feat. To start the season 10-0 and from the looks of it 11-0 isn't easy by any means. Sometimes the awful teams like the A's or Nats can give teams trouble. Even if the Jays had the same schedule and went 8-2, I would be very impressed.
  23. You never skip your top starters. If there is an off-day, sometimes team can skip the No. 5 spot in the rotation. Or maybe in a crucial series at the end of the season where you want to set up a rotation to face that team, you might give someone like Gausman or Manoah an extra day or they might pitch on short rest. Still early in the season as well so better to have guys settle in.
