  1. Belt will turn it around.
  2. Meh against a lefty, don't get your hopes up.
  3. Bo needs to clean up his fielding. He's pretty much become Russ Adams in the field. I love Bo's bat, but his defense sometimes can be frustrating to watch.
  4. I picked Springer before the game started as well.
  5. bones10 quoted an older post
  6. I picked Springer as well
  7. April 8 Vladdy - 2 Points Bichette - 2 Points Belt - 4 Points Varsho - 4 Points Kirk - 4 Points Springer - 4 Points - Jonn, Dylan, JaysBlue Chapman - 4 Points - TCA Merrifield - 10 Points - Stangstag Espinal - 12 Points Off the bench: 20 Points
  8. He's annoying on social media, but I'll always like him for what he did during his tenure with the Jays. Him coming back at the end of 2015 making some big starts against the Yankees and helping them in the Postseason. He was a gamer for sure those two seasons.
  9. Yeah there was a running catch both Varsho and Springer made in the late innings yesterday. I don't think Tapia or Hernandez cover that ground.
  10. Yeah wasn't until 2015 and 2016 but that is when both Bautista and EE were near the end of their prime years. Same with when the Jays had Doc in the 2000s. Best pitcher in all of baseball and never got a sniff of the Postseason. Also, tough during a decade when the Yankees and Red Sox were pretty much unstoppable. Shame that the Angels haven't been relevant the past 3-4 years with both Trout and Ohtani. I want to see them make the Postseason but will be tough.
  11. I don't care what KK does with the bat. As long as he plays GG defense in CF, I'm more than happy!
  12. Tiger made the cut! Cashed in my bet haha
  13. My bets didn't work out. Damn Bet365 with their Boost Bets!
  14. Maybe because I signed up for the free 7-day trial over the Google Play store.
  15. Probably Alex Manoah will soon.
  16. Yeah the deal makes sense in terms of the offseason goal to improve the outfield D. With Varsho and KK added, along with Springer in RF, Teo didn't really have a spot in the outfield unless he played 2 times per week giving someone a day off or if an injury occurred. Only other position was being an everyday DH. If Swanson goes on and has 1.5 - 2 WAR seasons out of the pen for the next three years, then the deal looks good. Jays definitely took on more risk with a BP arm who is unproven in the late innings versus a solid corner OF bat, but we'll see. Only way Jays fans we'll have any regret is if Teo has a monster season in 2023. If he is just a 2-3 WAR outfielder like he was last season, don't think I'll lose any sleep over the move.
  17. I'm not worried about the Jays defensively in the outfield at all. They definitely have more range and cover more ground, whereas last season guys like Tapia, Hernandez, Gurriel would all take bad routes and balls would drop in. Watching the game last night, I was very impressed. Plus, Springer in right field is so much better now than having him in CF.
  18. Yeah even when Stroman came up through the Jays system, was always compared to Sonny Gray. We just need Berrios to be a 3-4 WAR arm like you said. Would make a huge difference over a full season.
  19. Bumgarner from 2010 to 2016 was looking legendary especially in the Postseason. Since he signed with Arizona, he's been really awful.
  20. Yeah would add those two in there for sure. Only other guy I could think of maybe Adam Wainwright, but when looking back between 2015-2019 he was awful for a couple of years and missed some time because of injuries. Turned his career around, but he was never able to stay as dominant as Verlander or Scherzer into his late 30's. He's been really solid the past three seasons but nothing elite. If Cole continues to pitch at an elite level into his late 30's like Verlander/Scherzer and reaches 70 WAR for his career, definitely a first ballot Hall of Famer.
  21. Also, now MLB TV there is no yearly subscription like before? Payments are monthly now instead? Works out to $37 CAD per month taxes in.
  22. Yup, that's what Postseason caliber teams need to do. Beat up on the weaker teams to grow leads in the standings. Definitely going to help them if they hit a rough stretch or lose a couple of series to divisional rivals.
  23. 109 pitches as well, so was good to see him grind out that start.
  24. Yeah but I've never seen a pitcher with buttons on his belt to relay which pitch is coming to the catcher. Is it because he has so many pitches and because of the pitch clock?
  25. Yup and even their run differential. I know it's the first week of the season but damn.
