  1. Martin, McCann, Mauer, and Molina should all be in the HOF easily. Posey should be a first ballot HOF. Was the best catcher over the last decade. 10.1 WAR season in 2012! Perez shouldn't even be in the conversation for the Hall. He likely won't even top 20-25WAR for his career.
  2. Yeah I even in remember in 2006, the Jays brought in Bengie Molina late in the offseason on a one-year contract and pretty much Zaun was on the bench or played 30-40% of the time. Molina was a slow, high contact, low BB and low K bat with some pop. Zaun at least got on-base at a much higher clip and did have some decent pop. Zaun had a great 2005 season and they still brought in Bengie which IMO was a waste. Overall, Gregg Zaun was a real solid catcher during his tenure with the Jays. Very underrated with the bat and his defense behind the plate. He caught Doc during his prime as well. I hope Kirk could end up being like Gregg Zaun, which I think is a fair comparable. They have a similar skillset offensively and Kirk obviously has more power potential. He just needs to keep in better shape.
  3. Big mistake letting AA go after the 2015 season.
  4. Yankees also heating up now. Jays can't afford to fall behind.
  5. Kikuchi is the Jays 4th best starter right now. Manoah likely gets demoted before Kikuchi moves to the BP.
  6. He's a No. 5 starter, so of course!
  7. The pace of baseball games has greatly improved and I've been a fan. 9 inning games should finish just under 3 hours, they shouldn't be touching nearly 4. Only thing is sometimes when I tune into a 7PM game start time at like 8-830PMish, it could sometimes already be in the 5th inning or later haha.

Haha good thing I didn't bet. Celtics looked awful.
  9. Yeah I know. He definitely would bring some excitement and energy to the clubhouse. He's performed in the Postseason before and has pitched in big games. Toronto fans would embrace him coming back again. Adding an arm like him would really solidify the rotation down the stretch and in the Postseason.
  10. Jays also at the time were rebuilding so they had to move Stroman. Stroman can opt out after this season, so if the Cubs aren't contending, he could be available at the trade deadline. Wouldn't be a bad pickup at all, though not sure the Jays would have the pieces to land him. Looks good: Gausman Stroman Bassitt Berrios Kikuchi/Ryu/Manoah

My money is on the Celtics tonight. To win 3 in a row and tie the series, no way they're losing. Miami had to win Game 6, which they almost did but fell 0.1 seconds short of winning!
  12. Moreno would have got to second haha
  13. It's crazy that everyone in the Rays lineup are having career years offensively at their ages. It's not like some of these guys are highly touted elite prospects who are 24 or 25. A lot of them are in their late 20's, early 30's and had no previous success at this kind of level. It's not just Yandy Diaz or Randy Arozarena or Wander Franco. Sure one breakout from a player happens every so often, but its a majority of the lineup. Harold Ramiez, Issac Paredes, Taylor Walls, Jose Siri, Luke Raley etc. Josh Lowe's numbers even have been elite. One thing I notice is the power numbers of all these players have improved greatly from their previous years. The Rays are hitting more home runs. Yandy Diaz in the ninth inning yesterday turned on a ball so hard he almost hit it out but just went foul. They definitely are hitting the ball harder or crushing pitches that are more in the middle of the plate. Do they know which pitch is coming? Not sure. But to have every bat in their lineup click all at the same time as they are two months into the season is something you rarely see in baseball.
  14. I shouldn't have dropped him in the LOD
  15. Yeah same with Tampa like you said. A lot of their elite pitchers they develop and have under control never really continue to put up elite numbers long term with their new teams. David Price - was great for just 2.5 years after he was traded. (2014-2016). Blake Snell - hasn't been anything special with the Padres but he's been decent. Not looking good this season though. Chris Archer - turned into a pumpkin after being traded. I wouldn't want to be the team that trades a boatload for Shane McClanahan two-three years from now.
  16. I'll go with Belt today
  17. Since the meeting, the Blue Jays are 1-0.
  18. Pretty much majority of the lineup lol.
  19. Hope the Blue Jays can sweep the Twins! Lets go!
  20. Got to move Springer down in the lineup, same with Varsho. Send Manoah down to AAA or place him on the IL.
  21. Yup. They do near the end of their tenure with the Tribe and get traded before they become worthless. Even earlier, Fausto Carmona haha. I think Shane Bieber gets traded either at the deadline or offseason. He doesn't seem as elite anymore but I'm sure they'll get an amazing package for him.
  22. Blue Jays should pick him up in case one of Kirk or Jansen hit the IL.
  23. So that guy on MLB Network was right all along.
  24. Yeah I think it's a bit of both. Also I think none of us or the front office expected the AL East to be this good. A lot of us thought Boston was only going to win 70 something games, and the Orioles were going to be maybe an 85 win team because they never made any big additions. Yankees didn't look like they were going to be as elite but they still were going to be good. Rays probably along the same lines as last season 90 something win team instead of what they're on pace for this season.
  25. Shapiro from a business perspective has been one of the best Presidents this team has had. Blue Jays are definitely generating a lot of money and he's made huge upgrades to the in-game experience which will pay dividends, even if this team on the field is just mediocre. I think Shapiro definitely has his eyes sets on being the next commissioner. He definitely has the resume for it and would do a great job!
