    Yeah, letting the pitcher hit is more for the cerebral fans., that enjoy strategy, as opposed to the ADD millenials that need five home runs a game. Bunts may not be as exciting, but for the thinking man, speculating as to what the manager will do in certain situations is an enjoyable part of the baseball experience. If the manager's directions is always 'hit away', it takes a lot of the fun out of the game.

    .199/.227/.223 career slash line might explain it. If the guy can't handle it, he should have stayed in the American League. He's like an immigrant that moves to Canada and then demands Sharia law be implemented. Sorry you suck at batting Max, but no need to ruin it for the pitchers that can hit. Watching Bartolo Colon hit his first HR last week is a reminder of why the NL rules are so awesome. Absolutely no reason to put a DH in the National League.

    Oops. Meant he was solid in the minors. But, he has started two games. First start was really good.

    The logic makes no sense. The victim is assaulted. So to make things better, MLB takes millions of dollars away from their family. Gee, wonder why wives won't cooperate. Instead, no suspension, but a percentage of the player's salary is withheld from the player, for an escape fund for the spouse, if she chooses to leave him.

    A starter doesn't get extra value by having RP status. However, an RP gets extra value by having SP status. It's because the RP status only helps you if you have more than 5 starters pitching, which is pretty rare. Offer him up again after he pitches against Atlanta. Value might go up. He was solid in the majors and had a great first start, but with no pedigree, people are pretty fickle on his value.

    I don't really understand basketball, so can someone explain something to me. Our bench guys seem to have way better +- than our starters. So, why don't we let our bench guys play a lot more? Are there +- ratings elevated because most of their playing time is against non-starters? Also, why do we let Lowry take so many 3-point shots, when his percentage is so low right now?

    Totally disagree. Pillar isn't super cocky, and he tries harder than anyone else on this team. Not sure about his bunting skills, but the guy sure as hell runs out his ground balls. And his bat is at least a little better than Goins.

    I can't stand this little s***. He's been in MLB for less than a season, contributes negatively with the bat, but this little turd still things he's a big deal, and struts around like he's got a 12 inch cock. He's much too important to run out ground balls, like every other s***** hitting middle infielder has done since the beginning of time, and can't be bothered learning how to bunt cuz he's too much of a stud. Send him back to the minors where he can whine about his daily per diem for a couple of years, while staying in cum-soaked hotels, until he learns some humility.

    Power rankings aren't based on wins - they're based on the individual team performance. So, if your team goes .330/.425/.560, with 2.08 ERA, 5.2 K/BB and 1.29 WHIP with awesome counting stats, it's going to give you a big boost in the power rankings, even if your team went 0-14 that week. It's meant to have predictive capabilities. It works the other way too, I'm 3rd last in the power rankings but over .500
