  1. I feel the forum's getting a little too familial. Might be good to hold a few things in.
  2. I would be willing to do power and farm rankings, if someone could update this chart, with all the players and fill in their first names (so that the VLookup works), and because I think Pearce's first name is Scott, apparently.
  3. Every story needs a villain.
  4. I know. Everyone is fine now. It'll be at least a month in that I'll be able to move one of these guys, as at least one of those guys languishes on bench, gets demoted, or just puts up terrible numbers.
  5. Well that settles it. Guess we have to keep Encarnacion now.
  6. I have some extra 2nd basemen to trade, but looks like everybody has a decent solution there. Position is pretty deep. Best potential trade partners: Connorp (Jonathan Schoop) Abom (Javier Baez) Fresnchsoup (Devon Travis) Dinger (Brett Lawrie) Boxy (Scott Pearce) Otherwise, I'll probably be stuck.
  7. OK, I'm all done too. 8. I'd say Spittin' has the best rotation. Sale DeGrom Iglesias Ryu Nola
  9. Too bad our farm is pretty much depleted, because otherwise, I'd love to see both Edwin and JB shipped off this year, to get us a boatload of great prospects. But given how bare the cupboard is, I just don't see replacing Edwin with Matt Hague, and Jose with Dalton Pompey
  10. Nah, not in this league. I don't think my team can compete that well against some of the win-now teams that are stocked with 35+ vets.
  11. I would, but I only deal in 1sts.
  12. There's three keys to rebuilding in this league: 1) Trade off older players for draft picks or prospects while they still have value. 2) Use your roster as a trading desk, adding and stockpiling players who may have value a month or two down the road. 3) Understand value cycles. Picks are worth the least at the beginning of the season, and worth the most during the draft. Then you can still enjoy the league, by having a nicely stocked farm (would be better if we could go past fifteen) to keep an eye on, and scooping up the occasional free agent to help build more value to trade for picks.
  13. If San Diego makes the playoffs this year, will you hang your head in shame, or take credit for a good team that got unlucky last year.
  14. Oh yeah, remember that epic series of rants last year? Speaking of which, Chappy, you still owe me $20
  15. Yup, Bronson Arroyo. Thanks. A little out of it today
  16. Spanky, it's not cool to hack BTS' account.
  17. I don't really look at scouting reports (except for defense). I have a formula I use to rate the players, and Reed came out as #1 for the available players, even after discounting for position. That being said, I only own him in one league.
  18. Can someone email him? Im going out. TGhanks
