  1. I did throw his name out there. That's why I got a couple offers. I'm sure he'll be decent eventually, but he's out this year and next year, and then 2019 he'll probably take a while to get back in form. I don't want to wait 4 years to extract some value out of him.
  2. OK, moderate trade to report: AdamGreenwood receives: Chance Adams Domingo Acevedo Kingfiller's 2nd round waiver Kingfiller receives Julio Urias Matt Olson Grant Holmes
  3. Also, I am trading away the following picks for waiver upgrades: #45 MiLB 2017 #85 MiLB 2017 #88 MiLB 2017 (jaysblue) #90 MiLB 2017 (J4L19) #107 MiLB 2017 (JG34) Also, the following players are very available to anyone who wants them: Spencer Adams Grant Holmes Matt Olson Renato Nunez Eduardo Nunez Josh Tomlin Jose Urena Julio Urias
  4. OK, fine. Called up: Orlando Arcia Matt Olson Renato Nunez Brent Honeywell Probably only Honeywell survives the March cut, but who knows.
  5. "If teams acquire more than 12 prospects via trade or draft then they can cut down to a minimum 18 MLB players and carry a maximum of 14 prospects through the cut down period but will be required to cut down to a maximum of 12 prospects before the July MiLB draft." The rules seem to imply that it's possible to get more than 12 players by drafting. How would this be possible, if you couldn't exceed more than 12 spots on your milb roster? Also, it's gonna be a pretty short draft with only 12 spots. Most of these picks are gonna dissolve.
  6. Either way is fine. We need Spittin to make a ruling on this, and then we still have time to trade/drop etc before the draft starts.
  7. Clearly the Cubbies need Gibby who's great at managing those kind of personalities. I guess we'll have to take Maddon in exchange.
  8. OK, just one more clairification. I understand that we have to cut down to 12 players before the draft. But once the draft starts, we can have a total of 14 players (or more) on our milb roster (combining what we had when the draft started, plus the new players we draft). Is that accurate? This is important to understand how many picks/prospects teams need to dump before the draft starts. Key Dates: July 11 (one week before draft): 12 milb players. July 17(draft day): milb rosters expand to 14? Please confirm. July 21 (or whenever draft ends). milb rosters fixed at 14? Or more? MARCH 1ST (cut down to 12-14 milb players (depending on how many MLB players kept) March 7th- July 11 (14 or more max milb players?)
  9. For 75% of these fantasy guys, they don't recognize prospects until someone puts them on a list. I had a guy in another league tell me I had no good pitching prospects. All I had was: Kolby Allard David Paulino Triston Mckenzie Luke Weaver Mike Soroka Arian Morejon Jack Flaherty Fernando Romero Chris Paddack Thomas Szapucki Nick Neidert Cody Reed Tyler Mahle I have to wait for the mid-season lists to come out before these guys have any value.
  10. Thanks Spittin for editing the rules on the first page. I seem to remember we could have unlimited prospects until the Rule 5 draft (in March), but it looks like we changed that. Regardless, it looks like we can have 14 prospects on our rosters now. Could we clarify if it's 12, 14 or unlimited? Also, the rules state that 1) We do our draft immediately after the Rule 4 draft, and specifically mentions that we do our draft before the signing period ends. 2) It also mentions that we need to drop players one week before the draft, and if we don't our rosters will be frozen and we will lose our picks. So, we should probably set an official date, and give some grace period to drop/trade prospects as necessary. I'm not trying to be pedantic here, I'm simply trying to get the rules clarified so that they are applied in a consistent and fair manner, as opposed to randomly applying some of the rules when they are convenient, and screw JaysBlue over.
  11. Sending out some Osuna offers. If anyone else wants him - shoot me a message.
  12. Happy to help you maintain the sanctity of your perfect bubble world.
  13. The reason players don't often admit this kind of thing, is because it will cost them millions. When Osuna becomes a free agent, he'll get paid less, because teams will be cautious about his anxiety. I remember when the Expos traded a ton to get Fernando Tatis, and the guy had too much anxiety to bat. I'm sorry, but unless the anxiety is related to baseball, Osuna can get out there and throw a god damned baseball for five minutes, and deal with his issues after the game.
  14. Wonder who will be taken next? coughyoanmoncadacoughcoughmichaelkopechcough
  15. They didn't even work. Maybe like 30 seconds, and then flaccid again. Total ********.
  16. Looked over the rules. Very interesting. 1) The annual MiLB draft will be held immediately following the conclusion of the real-life MLB Rule 4 Draft 2) All MiLB cuts must be made one week prior to the annual MiLB draft so that draft order can be finalized. 3) If your MiLB roster is full at the time of the draft, you will not be allowed to draft prospects and all of your remaining picks will be discarded. If I'm reading this right, it looks like most of us are going to be losing all of our draft picks. Darn. We should probably either: a) Set a date for the draft ASAP. or Change the rules to say that the draft starts after the signing deadline. If we take the rules literally, we've all lost our draft picks anyways.
  17. I'm pretty sure there's an updated version of the rules document that has the start time for the milb draft as well as a better explanation of the 12-14 milb keepers. If anyone could produce it, could we put it into the BORED spreadsheet?
  18. Holy f***, Jim Canuck is trying to trade Blue Jays away. No respect for the legacy Frenchsoup painstakingly created. You're supposed to get more Blue Jays, not less. Come on. Get your s*** together.
  19. Are we sure those rules on the first page are up to date? It says that you can't have more than 12 prospects at any time. I thought you could have 12-14 in BORED depending how many keepers you took at the cut down.
  20. If we have any BORED rules, can we add them to the BORED master document, just so everything we need is all in one place?
  21. If only Ezra Levant wasn't so busy.
  22. Jim's been active on the forums for a long time, so he'll likely be more committed than many others we could have chosen. And this being his only team, means he can give it extra focus. Plus, with the existing rivalries, there'll be a little extra incentive to prove himself. And often, once you get involved in a fantasy league, the animosities get toned down a little, when you realize you might need to trade with those people at a future date. Boxy, simmer down. It's OK to play fantasy baseball with people who have different opinions than yourself.
  23. Welcome Jim. Good to have you.
