  1. I don't know, I'm just thinking some controllable decent established pieces might have to be added. Norris for Cueto is reasonable, but it might cost more than just Norris, don't you think? That's why I don't even know if the Jays have the ability to put together a package for him. Carrasco discussions probably start with a consensus top 10 prospect don't they? The Jays don't have one of those. Edit: Stroman?
  2. lol I was thinking the same thing that made very little sense.
  3. Semantics, he's not "an established ace". But yes he's great and they'd probably have to deal quite a bit. I'd imagine they might ask for Pillar and maybe want Valencia, on top Norris etc.
  4. He certainly seems like an ace in the making. I would sell the farm for him but what would realistically get it done? Norris + Hoffman + Pompey might not even do it.
  5. Ban. Not cool to post an exciting thread title like that a week before the deadline.
  6. Does anyone think this is a bad move? Lou is one of the most respected executives in hockey. Bringing in his experience with guys like Hunter and Dubas beside him sounds like a recipe for success (cautiously optimistic).
  7. Yep. But the forum police don't like multiple threads, instead they'd rather go through multiple pages talking about several different players. It makes no sense to me either.
  8. Barry Davis is a clown lol. I could do a way better job than him, I wonder who he's banging. Same with Kevin Barker. Oh wait he`s banging Hazel Mae.
  9. About what if I may ask? "Why is Valencia starting against RHP Steamer projects him as garbage vs RHP and Gray is a beast". Was that close?
  10. Didn't they also want Juan Francisco?
  11. I believe his velocity has increased since coming off the DL.
  12. Yep he'd be a nice addition. It took DeSclafani (remember him!?) to get Latos in the winter, can't cost a lot now unless teams are going crazy. Hopefully the Jays have someone the Marlins like, other than the Norris' etc.
  13. Yeah exactly this. They must think Garcia can work on some improvements in the minors despite whatever his xFIP is. I don't think they take xFIP too seriously.
  14. He's married to Hazel Mae. He's the most casual fan I've ever seen on broadcast.
  15. Yeah it seems like he's less of an idiot at the plate than he used to be lol
  16. That was a nice piece of hitting by Reyes. Saw the ball up put the barrel on it.
  17. I ask this question every time someone brings this up and nobody ever has an answer. Does anyone have any insight as to how much the exchange rate actually affects payroll? I don't think it's very much but if anybody actually knows that would be good to know.
  18. The Jays might even have him projected as more valuable than that. Maybe they like his defense better now, or maybe they don't, and it would be nicer if they could add a LHB, but Cespedes + Price would make all of us pretty excited regardless of the cost.
  19. Maybe he will be good in a year or two, not quite there IMO. FWIW the Pirates were reportedly interested in Ben Revere which would send Polanco down to AAA/part time role.
  20. Fiers is interesting would he be pretty cheap? He seems like a guy who might need a good game caller to be effective. Really good offspeed stuff, but needs to be extremely careful with his fastball.
  21. Isn't Norris the only one realistically evaluated as a 60 FV? The others are good and valuable but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
  22. They've had multiple years relying on old ass pitchers: Todd Jones Jose Valverde Joe Nathan They had Rodney for a bit too IIRC before he had his turn around.
