  1. Well, time to have Lawrie grow a beard I guess - nothing for it .
  2. Well, this is how you take advantage of a shift. With Ortiz batting Pedroia steals second and then third on the same play. http://gfycat.com/NearComplexGuernseycow
  3. I remember reading that Smith was taking reps there during this past spring training and a bit before games.
  4. I think it's Lawrie that starts his rehab.
  5. People talk about platoon splits in Lind and Francisco, Tolleson has the biggest platoon splits on the roster. Hitting .086 against RHP and .351 against LHP. I'm happy with the guy as he has a lot of versatility but my god should he never see a RHP.
  6. It was a pretty good interview. I'm assuming we were in on Price and Lester and they wanted Stroman and not Norris or Sanchez.
  7. I'd be pretty happy if we could get Price for Sanchez, Nolin, Nay and Pompey (or Dwight Smith Jr). I don't know if those pieces get it done though.
  8. Is there or a source for that or is that your expected AA answer today?
  9. I'm really hoping that Valencia isn't our big move as he was sort of an irrelevant pick up with Tolleson on the team. I know that Valencia has the longer track record of hitting lefties well, but if you're looking at it for this season Tolleson has done an admirable job and is substantially more versatile. What the hell is our bench going to be when Lind EE and Lawrie are back? Gose, Reimold, Valencia, Thole? Kawasaki, Reimold, Valencia, Thole?
  10. Part of me is expecting Rasmus traded today. Another part of me thinks this is AA and we'll probably trade Norris, Sanchez, Pompey and Nay for Hammels from Oakland.
  11. Haven't seen many if any change ups.
  12. Really solid article. It's a shame that SABR and advanced metrics aren't overly popular with Toronto sports fans (much less baseball).
  13. http://m.mlb.com/video/v34858697/thomas-is-inducted-into-the-hall-of-fame Frank Thomas HOF speech, dem feels.
  14. Everytime I see it I want to shave it off. Frankly a soul patch on the face by itself brings about the same feeling.
  15. My theory is Reyes gets his healthyness and speed from dreadlocks, and not having them has made him the Jose Reyes of today.
  16. That would be Dmitri Young.
  17. I didn't realize that Rays OF Kevin Kiermaier was putting up such a good year. 3.0 fWAR through 53 games, that is an insane pace.
  18. If you like yourself some Mastodon you should check out Isis, very similar without the vocals. You might also like Gojira and The Ocean.
  19. If I remember correctly as long as you're within roughly 3 feet of the line you're OK. That line was almost touching the grass, he looks OK to me.
  20. The team has it's own doctors and machines.
  21. He also hits fairly well. .285/.346/.504 in 136 PA with 5HR and a 29/12 K:BB ratio, not bad for a 19 year old.
  22. Almost a full squat, almost. That's still a lot more impressive than the guys who only squat to a 45 degree angle.
  23. Not the best of innings but 23 pitches from Cueto is good.
