  1. It's spring training. He could've just not been sufficiently warmed up after a long toss session and when he started loosening he was tight.
  2. The little alterations that Pillar made in his stance, hands closer to the body slightly higher, slightly more open, slightly higher leg kick seem to actually let him get the bat to the zone quicker. I'd thought his bat was really slow to the zone last year and if the changes are legitimate and we see them over the next two or three weeks that might make for a much better offensive performance from him.
  3. They'll probably get 2-3 at bats and call it a day.
  4. I think it's well known that Bautista is a very smart individual. I get the feeling he just gets bored and enjoys learning new ventures or being an active participant in new things and since he has a ludicrous amount of money he can afford to spend it learning new things, that if he's good at it he'll make more back than he spends in the long game. Retirement planning when you're rich I guess.
  5. It wasn't a solid blue, it was almost like those LED Christmas lights that look blue to the eye despite being a white light.
  6. I didn't see black and blue but I saw a whitish blue and brownish colour.
  7. Dancing Ocelots are officially in! Thanks for the invite Boxy.
  8. Stepped on a sprinkler. Good chance his cleat caught and it caused his knee to do something funky.
  9. I'll play. Shoot me a PM on here with the details and I'll join up ASAP. I haven't played in any of the leagues on here though I was invited to the Dynasty League many moons ago. I'm also one of the longer tenured guys between the boards (2003).
  10. Is it an ESPN/TSN league or is it Yahoo? I'm interested either way, just need to know what password I need to reset.
  11. I wonder if the DBacks might move someone like David Peralta or Ender Inciarte for Navarro.
  12. Surprisingly I've seen this once before. The spikes on the cleat catch and you tend to get hurt pretty badly.
  13. ANG. What's the word? You're the fellow down there. Has the verbal agreement been overplayed (most likely) or has Toronto or Vlad Jr backed out?
  14. The funniest part of that is the Sox and Dodgers share a complex and it isn't effecting the Dodgers half of the complex lol.
  15. He's had dual knee, dual elbow and one shoulder surgery. He has no cartilage left in the one knee. Everyone's talking about how his issues are mental, they're all physical at this point, he is not capable of throwing the ball without a tremendous amount of pain. I don't think he will ever make it back, I'd be surprised if he has a job in baseball after this season.
  16. Have you heard anything Ang or is the rumoured deal for July 2nd with Toronto still the word around town?
  17. I didn't see it posted elsewhere but a Jose Reyes, Beyond the Box Score read. The information is staggering when broken down this way. http://www.beyondtheboxscore.com/2015/2/17/8043221/blue-jays-jose-reyes-defense-decline
  18. For the people going on about Delabar sometime back in November he talked about how he did not correctly do the weighted ball program last off-season and that led to mechanical issues which lead to injury. He's supposed to be back on the program as it was designed this year so he could definitely be a wild card as a reliever again this year. I'm not holding my breath as it's amazing he ever made the MLB but I won't rule him out either.
  19. I'm very impressed with how well he understands the mental aspect of the game. It's refreshing to hear someone who's goal is to work the count, not try and hit home runs constantly. Knows that defence keeps him up.
  20. Tolleson's MiLB numbers are quite good, I don't know how well he will hit now that his vision is fixed but he's worth the flyer imo.
  21. I still think Tolleson surprises and wins the spot out of ST and moves to the bench designating Izturis in June when Travis comes up.
  22. Because we have the off-day I want it to be Stroman or Hutchison and then line up the rotation as Stro/Hutch, Dickey, Stro/Hutch, Mark B, Norris.
  23. In Ottawa, zero blackouts the last two years.
  24. That's typically what happens. I try and put on about 40lbs from where my ideal weight is (230ish) and then come the end of February when I'm about 270 I cut and by about July I'm in a comfortable 230ish range. I don't stop power lifting, and I don't add cardio. I just change my diet. When bulking I eat whatever I want whenever I want, today I ate 6 tacos for breakfast, for lunch I had a salad, and 6 more tacos. For dinner I'll probably do a 6 egg omelette loaded with veg and some bacon. I also work as a heavy equipment tech, I lift heavy s*** all day and I power lift. My BMR last summer was something around 3250 calories a day, to maintain my weight. When I cut I'm at about 2600 and when I bulk I push 4000. My cut is keto for two months and then paleo for 4-6 depending on how I feel. This is the first year that I've bulked with a heavy carb load and I feel like crap, generally I just eat more meat, dairy and saturated fats with something around 50g of carbs a day. Before people come on saying "eat healthier" my blood pressure is great, my cholesterol is great and I have no major health issues other than I'm a heavy guy and chairs can break.
