  1. I'm not upset, but not thrilled about this pick. He's tall, has a good fastball so we'll see. As he adds mass and starts figuring his body out he could jump.
  2. If Burdi's on the board that's who I think we'll grab.
  3. No surprise there.
  4. That's why I'm not following it on Twitter haha. I'm enjoying listening to the MLB Radio crew (better than MLB Network) with the game on TV and muted, as usual.
  5. That's a solid pick. Did not expect him to go this soon myself.
  6. His plant foot seems to be landing oddly.
  7. They'll pull the Jon Gray route, FIP in the 3s and ERAs in 5.5 range.
  8. I'm really pleased with Sanchez. FIP in the high 2s, xFIP at 3, 2.1 fWAR so far, low BB rate, high K rate. This is good.
  9. What a horrendous outing by this team today. Sanchez has quite literally the best start of his professional career and then you score two runs when you walk as often as you have tonight, that's not acceptable.
  10. Why DFA Dominguez? He could've been optioned again and I don't think we need 40 man roster space.
  11. Storen's velocity looks like it's back at least.
  12. Good call. No point in letting Osuna cool down or keep throwing in the pen.
  13. BBBB with the comment of the night. Also f*** sports on a timer.
  14. Apparently Pompey was hurt after colliding with a wall today. I haven't been able to see how badly he hit or what kind of severity to expect but he did have to leave the game.
  15. Traditionally they looked that way but when anyone did any in depth looking he has no splits.
  16. I've also been to every stadium, and a few that are no longer around. My bottom five visited are the Trop, Fenway (it's a dump), Old Yankee Stadium, Rogers Centre and Arlington.
  17. Since 2013, when Goins debuted, and players with 850 PA or greater Goins is the worst hitter in baseball by 6%. 6% worse than Middlebrooks, Amarista as examples. 60 wRC+. I'm really hoping that Atkins and Shapiro can get Gibbons to stop using him at all. Let him get sent to AAA.
  18. Barney can play SS, though it's been a while since he's done it often. I'm not a big Parades fan, but he's probably the better option short term over Goins. Keeps depth in case of further injury without losing an out of option "asset". I was just looking at Travis's MiLB numbers, guy had like 165 wRC+ in 2013. If you don't care about sample sizes 2015 was his second worst professional season offensively. Stupid f***ing mobile. I meant to say that there needs to be context taken with the numbers of course and not to assume that he's of course going to repeat anything similar to last season.
  19. Almost needs to be that way. They won't option Zeke or Thole and Barney and Parades have no options.
  20. So when Travis is eventually activated it has to be Goins going to AAA right?
  21. I could see Gibby being fired and Hale being promoted to manager for the remainder of the season. I'd like Bud Black myself but who knows what's going to happen. The longer this season goes on my disdain for AA grows and grows. How someone started off so strongly as a GM gaming the comp system, getting a tonne of solid draft picks and then turning into Amaro Jr blows my mind.
  22. Goins has options, I don't believe Barney does.
  23. I could also see him being DFAd the instant his suspension is done.
  24. I'm still a bit out on Urena because of how far from the MLB he realistically is. I've also had similar thoughts on SRF. If Penetecost moves back behind the plate, or somewhere like 2B and keeps performing well and proving health that's another fun piece. I'm still probably over hyped on Tellez as well. Powers starting to come into his game, BBs are up, Ks are still in that 20% range. He's not going to ride a .210 BABIP all season either.
