  1. Defensible position but if the Jays tack on some more runs, he's fine to sit down and let the pen take it
  2. One more error on Machado this inning and we've got a repeat of the 7th inning against Texas a few years years
  3. Anyone recall what game it was when Springer kinda hurt himself on a swing ... was that the point where his slide started? It was his left wrist then and he's shaking it again. He must have something going on/lingering with that
  4. You're right to do so, it's really advanced A where ya can start to see the long term possibilities.
  5. Yesavage shoved in his first Vancouver outing. 4 IP, 10 Ks.
  6. When Sandlin comes back...another excellent addition to that depth. If Swanson and Burr also come back to their potential, some guys are gonna get shuffled that don't deserve to...but that's a great problem to have
  7. This game so far is all the proof anyone should need as to why HR power is vital in today's MLB. You aren't gonna get many hits off aces that often, so when you do...they better be over the fence as often as possible
  8. Ffs Little is just found money. Unreal how dominant he's been
  9. I get the argument against top end pitchers but... trading 2 outs for a run against a great pitcher is also still really hard. You're basically banking on a guaranteed fly ball out deep enough to score which is far from a likely outcome for a 9-hole hitter against an ace. That said, he hit it on the screws, just got s*** luck.
  10. That looks like a guy ready and willing to swing at centre-cut mistakes. I like him already
  11. Yeah it's one of those things where when you watch a guy every day, there's a lot of bias in the eye test.
  12. Clase has close to the worst strike-zone awareness I've seen in a very long time
  13. Burr and Swanson both with much better 2nd outings at Buffalo Swanson 1.2 IP, no runs, hits or walks allowed with 1K Burr, 1.1 IP, no runs, no hits 1 walk 2 Ks
  14. I havent seen enough games with him back to judge, but has he had much cause to air out any throws yet?
  15. Yesavage, Stanifer and Stephen all promoted to Vancouver.
  16. Very much so. But if anyone is looking for some kinda optimism on Tony Taters... as of May 15th last season he only had 7 HR, 2 more than he has now. so... maybe soon?
  17. Hmmm, not to my liking. Kinda plain and dull with no real creativity behind it.
  18. Why would anyone put a cherry on a s*** sundae? That seems wrong on multiple levels
  19. Swanson got his tit's lit... 0.1 IP, 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 K. ERA at a tidy 108. 19 pitches, 10 strikes. Burr was better, but that's a low bar. 1 IP, 1 K and gave up 2 hits including a 2 run HR. ERA much better at 18. 14 pitches, 10 strikes. Help is on the way boys!
  20. Some injury updates: Scherzer felt some back tightness in his last throwing session to hitters in Anaheim so his next session will be delayed. Gimenez started baseball activities yesterday and is starting to ramp up Swanson and Burr both scheduled to pitch for Buffalo tonight.
  21. Great timing for a Varsho bobblehead day too, the day after he has the game of his life. Sucks the Jays couldn't win it with that performance
  22. It's Varsho's world tonight, we're just living in it
  23. I think the Historic Committee has to put them on the ballot first or something, there's so many bloody committees at the HoF it's hard to know which one goes first
