I don't think Garza would command an elite prospect. Lee... Definitely. Utley... Probably. Amaro stated today that he's under no pressure to shed payroll ans even if he was, the teams that would be inquiring on Utley or Lee would have the money to not have the phillies take on their full salary. Seems kind of a dumb thing to say since if they ate payroll they could up their demands and increase the amount of teams that could potentially be suitors, but nobody ever accused Amaro of being smart.

No kidding. May as well DL Lind since it's his back and we know how that's been the few years.... I'm pretty sure Edwin tweaked his hammy in Tampa and has playing limpy ever since.

Bear in mind the Jays like to piggyback starting pitchers in the same games as other starting pitchers since there's just not enough games for them to actually start all their starters. Add in that he might be on an innings limit after throwing in college this year so their just might not be that many innings for him to throw. I think as long you see him throwing 2+ innings, even coming in relief, the Jays probably still see a chance at him being a starter

Yeah I read that yesterday. Basically boils down to them working on everything they should be working on, but JPA has so far been unable to being any part of it to games.

Agree, but the Jays need to make the playoffs as well. Dickey pitching very well and this team not making the playoffs at least once would make that trade an even bigger epic fail than t already is.

Has been an okay catcher for the most part. 2010 and 2011 with the Reds he put up a .290/.353./.493 slash line playing about 50% of the time, 19 hr. wOBA .351, .340. Career wOBA .285 -
I don't think Davis is any more or less likely to be taking PEDs than any other player either, just wondering why nobody is asking the question like they did of Bautista. Seems that with biogenesis being a topic on everyone's mind these days, it would seem a no brainer for journalists to get attention, regardless of legitimacy, just like they did with Bautista.

Remember when Bautista came out of nowhere and all these articles were being written "the question that must be asked..." And all that garbage... Has anyone seen any articles from mainstream media "asking the question" about Davis? Why was it ok to jump all over Bautista but not Davis?

The Cubs aren't in any position to demand an elite level prospect for Garza in trade. They could ask for a couple of B's maximum, more likely B and a C.
