  1. If he could just bump that change usage into double digits and be a legit average pitch even, then he'd be really on the cusp of being an ace. I'll take a solid 2/3 any day of the week though.
  2. Decent article but he left out a good chunk of info, like his improved swinging strike metrics, which really tell the bigger story of his improvements rather than just saying he's throwing more strikes. He's throwing more strikes, getting more swings and misses in the zone, and on top of that is allowing a ton of weak contact.
  3. Depends on which patch you played after. Acrane was nailz for a long time before they nerfed it
  4. Dropping the ban hammer pretty quick aren't ya?
  5. Easy now. It will be beneficial when they're gone for many reasons, but the lineup losing all that offense isnt one of them
  6. Bad call to ho low and away there. Should have come up and in again
  7. Wow, nearly took his head off. That one got away
  8. Lol, wtf just happened. He threw it sideways and backwards?
  9. I haven't been watching that closely, but it doesn't seem like many. Maybe 3 or 4?
  10. This start is Keuchel-esque from last year. Bowling ball sinkers and Ks
  11. I'm sure he's fine there's probaly a jacknifed donkey on the dirt road home and traffic backed up.
  12. Preceden set earlier this year with Odor should be at least 8. Then he will appeal of course and probably get a game knocked off. Ventura should be gone for 3 starts, he's a moron and has done this repeated times.
  13. Broke the first rule of fighting for pitchers. He swung with his pitching hand. Crash Davis is not impressed.
  14. I'm not sure if that's feasible anymore. After 2 full seasons of pen work, he'd take probably 3 seasons to even get up 200 inning capability. Do we want a roster spot going to a guy who might only throw 120 inning next year as a starter, then maybe 160 the next and maybe 200 in 2019? By that time he's only got 1 year left of control unless they pll some wizardry by using an option next year and starting him in Buffalo long enough to avoid super 2 status and possibly squeeze another year of control out of him. But if they do that, then you're only talking about maybe seeing him throw 40 or 50 of his total innings with the big club in 2017 and the rest in Buffalo. That's not a great scenario
  15. Pillar (7pts)- Donaldson (2pts)- vdub, Candy Maldonado Bautista (2pts)- Jonn Edwin (2pts)-baseballsss, FrozenRopes Tulo (3pts)- Smoak (5pts)- Saunders (2pts)- Martin (5pts)- o2 Thole (10pts)- Goins (10pts)- Carrera (10pts)- Barney(10pts)- Travis (7pts)- Condor13, LTBF, johnhavok Matt Dom (10pts)- Bench (10pts)-
  16. Yanks could trade Miller this year for a least 1 prospect and maybe more. You know how teams are about getting pen help at the deadline.
  17. I first had Fernandez and Roark, but had to swap out Roark for Cole to save a bit of money to actually fill out the lineup, looks like I got a bit lucky there
  18. It's old... so that makes it okay ... or somethng
  19. Jays better light it up today, stacked them pretty heavy
  20. The thing is, his domination of boxing was only 1 aspect of his worldwide appeal. When he refused to be drafted into the army for the Vietnam war and converted to Islam, was arrested and convicted, stripped of the title and then ultiately got his conviction overturned... it was a changing point in history It wasn't just boxing that benefitted from Ali, but the entire world
  21. Apologies if this was reported in another thread but I did a quick search and came up empty. It's technically off topic from baseball, but as one of the few sports figures that inarguably transcends his sport - i think it should be here. Muhammed Ali has passed away at the age of 74 http://www.nbcnews.com/news/sports/muhammad-ali-greatest-all-time-dead-74-n584776
  22. It's an 8 man pen right now, you only have to be 4th best to be considered one of the better ones. Not exactly a stretch
  23. Forgive me if I don't order that PPV
