  1. Washington springs to mind.
  2. It's the best game plan for Estrada, whose change is an incredible pitch and doesn't throw hard fastballs. Assume it's a change until you know it's not and you should still be able to catch up to the fastball - theoretically. Also, location is so important for aestrada because he doesnt throw harc... so if hes off even a bit with location, he gets murdered

Well, game 3 is now must win territory for Nashville. Hope they put a fight and this doesn't end in 4 or 5
  4. You're own argument can also be used to counter that argument. Low minors have generally bad defense which doesn't get to alot of balls that are ruled hits when they could be outs, artificially inflating his babip. In any case, this board has flown off the handle on Bichette. I was merely pointing out his babip is insanely high and will probably regress a bit, I didn't say he was a lucksack talentless hack. Yes good and great hitters carry high babips in the minors. But not at a .450 clip over long periods.
  5. Uh.. yes babip is still a thing no matter what level you play at. Trout in his best low level minor league seasons sat at .420. .450 is unreal.
  6. Bo is carrying a .450 babip right now. After a few months you have to think that's going to regress, no matter what his bat to ball skills are.
  7. There's a few that are quite intelligent, but I'd be willing to wager the majority are below average, not like drooling muppet dumb, but just below average. Many of these kids are in sports programs so early they get cakewalked through high school and college.
  8. IMO, if it were necessary to move travis to accommodate Bo, then Travis would be going to LF.... or just traded.
  9. I don't know about that. Usually, if someone moves off SS at a really early age, if they have a good arm and bat, they'd be moving to 3B before 2b. The fact that Travis plays 2b now, let alone the fact that he never even played SS in pro ball means they probably knew really early on he doesn't have the arm for either 3B or SS.
  10. Use the Google. They're a real thing, I promise.
  11. Lots of players go from 2B to 3B?
  12. Yeah, it's gotta be soon. Probably waiting for the draft so they don't gut Lansing completely.
  13. And Alberta is 18 also. Growing up near Lloydminster is always fun for kids on the Saskatchewan side, where it's 19.
  14. Yeah they're saying there's history with these 2 guys from the playoffs a few years ago. 2 outs... bottom of the 8th and down by 2... and square in the hip. Yup, probably as intentional as it gets. Strickland was all kinds of pissed. Took 3 Giants to haul him off the field and he wasnt going quietly
  15. I picked a great last place team today so everyone feel free!
  16. Make sure you reply with quote so it shows what post you are replying to.
  17. How the f*** do ever send Morales on a shallow flare like that. Ffs .... lol He could have ran it in from LF and beat him to the plate
  18. Yeah... entire regular season and postseason to get to the same finals yet again.... that everyone knew was happening. I wonder if this is what the NBA foresaw when they made the changes to contracts alowing teams to resign their own players for way more money than others, without the salary cap penalties etc.
  19. From the Fringe 5 discussion on fangraphs today... a commentor brought up Danny Jansen for inclusion. Cistulli replied Damaso C D.Jansen (22, AA), spent his career at age appropriate levels so far, though his last two years have been savaged by injuries. Gets good marks for his gamecalling and receiving. MILB Career: 882pa, 10.3bb%, 12.7k%, .285babip, 117wrc+ 2017 (A+/AA): 161pa, 6.2bb%, 9.9k%, .398babip, 184wrc+ 1 REPLY1 hour 3 minutes ago Carson Cistulli Member Carson Cistulli Because catchers don’t move gracefully down the defensive spectrum, but rather tend to plummet all the way to first base, I’ve become progressively more cautious about including them here unless their defensive reputations are beyond reproach. Eric Longenhagen’s assessment of Jansen’s catching skills — or, perhaps, the assessment that he’s relayed from scouts — suggests to me that Jansen’s defense might merit a little bit of reproach. I agree, though, that the offensive skills are promising, and I’m constantly willing to consider new information.
  20. Cavs blew away the Celtics by 33 or whatever points to take the series 4-1 So both conference finals ended with 4-0 or 4-1 ....yay for predictability!
  21. Danny Jansen's first week in AA has gone okay... .429 / .500 / .619 with 2 walks, 2 Ks. 9 for 21 with 4 doubles.
  22. Looks to me like Gibbons is just pulling names and positions out of a hat pregame.
  23. Robles is the highest ceiling in that org but yeah Soto is definitely one to watch.
