  1. I think targeting arms isnt efficient. Their bust ratio and injury risk really makes them volatile and less reliable. Position players are the way to go when building your core imo. And if you run into a scenario where you have multiple guys at 1 position, either move them to another one or use the dupe as trade bait for arms.
  2. Need Lucroy to save me from the basement
  3. Estrada is such a weird case though, in every start as a finesse flyball pitcher, especially against a homer happy club in a band box park, he's 3 slightly missed locations away from giving up 3 bombs and 8 runs. Today was obviously not that start and good on those who picked him.
  4. I disagree with your percentages based on the reasons I listed above. It wasn't a 90% success type of play. 50% at best given Joseph didn't have to go far and the ball was heading towards 3rd making the throw shorter. Had the ball bounced off towards 1st Base instead... easily safe.
  5. It was a bad judgment call. Agressive isn't always good.
  6. Pillar really is a bad baserunner. You don't run for third when the ball only gets a few feet away AND it's towards that same base.
  7. Attaboy Pillar. Keep that idiotic baserunning up.
  8. WAs just about to post that, lol. Trout already went deep too and I lifted him for Pillar so I could keep Strasburg.
  9. Well, he wasbt terrible 5 years ago. God knows what his range would be there now.
  10. Nope. Helluva framer though. Really solid back there defensively
  11. I'm waffling, trying to talk myself out of taking stasburg given his high cost, but... Atlanta without Freeman is the kind of offense you dream of facing as a pitcher
  12. I think judging their crap lineup by run differential makes perfect sense given they've been forced to run out that crap lineup. Their record and differential should also suck. But i think what you're saying is that their run differential isn't predictive since the lineup will get boosted once the guys that aren't replacement level DFA candidates come back from injury.
  13. There's very few situations where a bunt legitimately makes sense. Pitchers in the NL pretty much anytime they are at the plate with runners on 1st or second and less than 2 outs is one. When you're home and you only need 1 run and it's over and your worst hitter is up in a platoon disadvantage with actually talented hitters upcoming... Might be 1 I'm missing.
  14. Yes, Goins should be good at bunting. No Gibbons shouldn't have called for it in that situation.
  15. Gibbons is insane. Keeps calling for bunts and expects a different result. As much as Goins sucks with the bat overall, he had the platoon advantage and he would have been bunting for Barney, who didn't. Stupid call
  16. No doubt, chances are he goes back down after Pillar comes back anyways, unless they figure he is going to be playing everyday due to all the injuries.
  17. Highly doubt he's fully ready for this, but what else can they do?
  18. Acording to the box score from today he's 1 for 1 with a single and 3 walks.
  19. Wtf are these fans doing hooting and howling all over the stadium? Sounds unbelievably stupid.
  20. Plate appearance ya rookie. f***, 4 of you don't know the difference between a PA and an AB.... Shameful
